My parents grew up in this era and my dad used to play his records every Sunday morning. (the only time he got to play them) I have memories of waking up to this music as it reverberated round the house. Great stuff.

The videos on this channel are, with their music and photographic art, like a balm for the Soul, in these troubled times. 👗💖🌆💗

Отличные исполнители, великолепные инструменты и оркестровки танцевальной музыки, которая была востребована. Молодежь хотела любить, танцевать, потому что знакомились на танц площадках, а композиторы писали музыку под популярные танцы.❤

anyone else feel like theyre from the wrong generation? idk I have to suplement modern music for something that isnt even around anymore bc I will never get to experience that time period :c I feel like I am constantly stuck in this reality where its all internet based tiktokmusic where every song now has to have dance trend to it. there is some aspects and songs i like in current times but its not easy to take a breather bc we are constantly being forced to accept this is how society is going to be from now on, so eventually it becomes overdone with nothing truly new nor surprising and it isnt relaxing scrolling through youtube shorts at all. I wouldve preferred to have done something away from the internet era, thats real life to me, sadly every music i try to like seems to be distorted by the internet and mushed into a few seconds short clips that then get put on repeat. i try to keep it limited but i just end up getting bored easily of it bc theres too much to choose from sometimes i just want everything to be simplified again no devices no screesn everywhere replacing our brains and dwindling our attention spans. i think thats what im missing most about these older eras, simple enjoyment, as even the 90s seemed moderately more normal than anything after the 00s. my brains turning to mush bc so much is about being overstimulated in short time period that you cant just simply enjoy music you have to overconsume it over and over again no matter the trend or song itself. we dont take enough time to truly relax either cause like i say its all about being up to date on so much stuff that our brains arent ment to handle the amount of constant overusing these devices. theyre so hard to put down too i think we all need to unplug our brains but they are overfried on constantly being kept up to date not focusing on real life things instead being too bothered by whos doing or saying what online. this music is so calming and relaxing i cant put it into words how refreshing it is. i also think a lot of the 00s and onwards was about having deep obsession with the singers to the point its beyond delusional.

Dad died in 2021. He was 96. When he was young in Manhattan and New Rochelle, he had some Black friends who liked Black jazz. He started to play clarinet as a teen, playing freeform Dixieland improvisation. He loved Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Fletcher Henderson and a bunch of others I can't remember. We grew up listening to this, among other kinds of music.
