Scopely has been slowly working at improving every aspect of msf over the last year. They left graphics and monetization for last, probably for the reasons you noted. Is it time to go back and update again some of the things they already updated like the supply stores? Yes. I suspect/hope those are coming around when 1,000 ppl have unlocked mephisto. The real problem is Battleworld was delayed and Scopely didn’t have a plan b ready for when that happened. And stark did say a few weeks ago an update for what is going on with Battleworld is supposed to be “soon.” They have done the oml trial, 10 new satellite floors, 6 new kyln floors, temporal dimension, spotlight raids, shorter cc seasons, with another new raid around the corner. So they have some new content, but ppl don’t count it because it was not a new game mode. Edit - And new graphics and a new store are important as msf tries to compete for players against other games over the next 3-5 years. Basically, they have almost done a complete overhaul and soft reboot of msf the last year.

They are so focused on how to monetize new content that they are unable to release it 😅

I'm so glad I didnt rush through DD7. Just waiting on Ares to start global with BK and cabal as I have those 4 ready. I will then wait on the newer toons for cosmic. The wait was totally worth it.

I think you're misunderstanding the great reset. It's just a different way of designing kits / characters. Doesn't make anything obsolete. It's just a balancing mechanism. Illuminati will be fine to invest in, not a waste at all.

I agree about the big jump in stats, but i disagree that everything else will be irrelevant. It's not like 10 new teams drop on day 1 with increased stats, so we're going to get to use our roster for a while. Now, eventually, they'll be a dozen new teams with crazy stats that take the place of older teams, but thats happening now, so I dont see much of a change...

So at least for now, if you want mephisto you need to build up at least 4 of the mythic characters. I feel after Apoc and SuS, you gotta pick at least 2 to take up to 100…. Until they make more mythics

But what about characters who survived "the great reset" e.g. Emma still used today no matter her stats. I get where you're coming from, but some of the recent kits are so extreme that they will last for ages. Also, certain abilities like Apocs empowered punch does percentile damage, so more health just equates to more damage. Not investing in illuminati will evidently just result in CC losses.

I see what you’re getting at, but it’s extreme to say every current character will be obsolete after Ares. That would be crazy of Scopely to do in general, but also financially…..which is probably most important to them. I have been upgrading less and saving more resources lately, but not doing anything until post Ares sounds boring. What you’re saying could happen, but for the sake of the game, hopefully not

Such dumb clickbait. You need at bare minimum: - 60 characters for crucible - 25 characters for raids with little overlap between the two. It will take 1.5-2 years for them to release that many new characters. Nothing is being made obsolete. We'll all replace the oldest and worst characters with the new characters that have huge stats, rather than replacing the oldest and worst characters with new characters that have bigger stats and better kits. Nothing has changed.

What about the newest team coming out Silver Surfer, etc....team?

Just unlocked Super skrull & Big boy apocalypse at the right time . I have OML maxed out . Not in a rush to start DD7 but I’m about to hoard cores/gold/materials for ares. Any thing else is just gravy

Telling people OML is gonna be obsolete is laughable. Ever think they are increasing base stats but lowering boosts from passives and teams? They aren’t just gonna power creep and keep the same complex abilities. (The reason they are putting more into base stats to make the abilities less intricate)

I spent all my resources to unlock Super Skrull and Apoc, I only have to raise Rogue, Weaver, Arcangel to cat 17 and Omega Red to cat18. Do I upload them to unlock or start saving for the new characters?
