I can understand why Glen got up to go to the stage, the presenter announced his name like a que. Is there a country/ pop performer who could better Glen? He got all the talents at max settings.

Legend says, Mr Web added that little organ tinkling to the original studio recording ..but that they had to load his " Hammond 3" into a pickup and haul it to the studio...that day ...what a day.

Glen Campbell, Donovan, Lobo all did great justice to Buffy Sante Marie's "Universal Soldier" although her original version had an awesome rawness about it that hits the soul. And Glen Campell's rendition of Buffy's "Take My Hand for Awhile" and "Until It's for You to Go" are just unforgettably awesome. Much prefer Glen's version to Elvis. Loved this man Glen Campbell. Just so smooth. May he rest in peace❤.

He recorded the song twice, once in 1969 and again in 1979. The first release was on his "Try a Little Kindness" album, the second was unreleased until 1995 on an anthology CD.

"I need you more than want you, And I want you for all time" might be one of THE single-most romantic lyrics EVER written in the history of the American Popular Songbook.

💯 agree. Whenever anyone asks what the most romantic lyric ever written, that is the one I quote.

I need to thank Rick Beato for turning me on to this masterpiece.
This is special. I've heard many people cover Wichita Lineman but no one plays or sings it like its owners. One of the best pieces of music every written.

Gawd that's awful. Just let Glen sing. What that guy at the piano is doing is pure garbage. There are writers who do that sort of thing too. You can buy their books in the paperback rack at the airport.
