The video is great, but the music NOT. Ask your self, what is the message you want to share, is it the music? Than you are spot on. But if you want people to actually hear what you say, than you are so far away, it makes no sence even to say how far.

Well, thats where my coal plants are. 😅😅😅
@relikpenguinАй бұрын
It is a very logical spot to place your coal plants. Myself and others have done the same. When its time to transfer to coal power and start making your coal plants, nukes are so far down the line in progression that there is no reason to think about them in any capacity. I only realized this spot for nukes after 2-3 playthroughs. Thank you for watching and commenting, have fun out there!

Thanks, but ditch the music, or at least turn it down.

The best place for 252 nuke plants with minimal vertical pump use and lots of access to water is the sea or massive lake or what ever it is

That's where my coal and steel plant is primarily for making Heavy Modular frames. There are actually 4 normal coal veins there. There's also more Iron on top of the cliff to the left of the lake when looking at the lake from the beach. I'm also doing some of my black powder and nobelisk production there too. I'm splitting that sulfur to make the ingredients for black powder as well as turning some of it into compacted coal for slightly better power output to support the factory. I do have other power coming into that area from my train station. My track comes in and out on a single line and it does a u-turn loop under the water in the lake. And there is a switch there as to go left or right around the loop. I love my underwater trains!

Sounds like youd be better off keeping your setup. This spot is very versatile. It took me a few playthroughs to figure out this spot was best for my nukes, i had also used it for things like coal plants and steels earlier. Thanks for commenting, good luck!

@@relikpenguin Well, bad luck here. I can't run the game anymore since Update 8. I don't have DX12. In fact earlier today was the first time I tried loading the game in almost 6 months... I took a break from it in the middle of Update 7 to play some of my other games such as Factorio, Dyson Sphere since the release of The Rise of the Dark Fog, Oxygen Not Included, Terraria... So yeah, I was reluctant to try and run the game when I heard them announce that with Update 8 they were migrating over to Unreal 5. I'll give you a hint, my system has only 8GB of Ram and it's DDR3... That should tell you what I'm dealing with...
@relikpenguinАй бұрын
@@skilz8098 That is quite the conundrum, i dont have a spot to recommend for production of RAM 😃. This game is great but im not sure if its "build a new rig" great. Glass half full, you have a valid reason to acquire new gear!

@@relikpenguin Well it's not just this game. I can still run ONI, DSP and Factorio but ONI and DSP do give me some issues towards endgame. I have No Man's Sky and can't even play that anymore. And there's about 3-5 titles out now that would be nice to add to the collection. There's Techtonica, Forever Skies, Nightingale, and The Crust. I just can't afford to buy the parts to build a new right now. I have other reasons that also validate the investment. It'd be nice to get back into programming again... The last version of a modern C++ compiler I've had access to was v17. I can't use v20 and v23... I'm also limited to using APIs such as OpenGL 4.2 I think is the highest my card can support and I can support most of Vulkan... but I can not support DX12. I like building 3D Applications that are geared around the Guts & Gears of a Game Engine, Physics Simulations... I also like trying my hand at writing Hardware Emulators such as the NES's version of the 6502... Or potentially the Z80 or even the 8080 and who knows maybe one day the Pentium, then write my own version of doom from scratch and have the entire game live and work from within the systems cache... lol. But I'm currently a poorman... I'm purely self taught as these have just been hobbies of mine over the past decade - decade and a half... I don't have any degrees yet I do have the basic knowledge of those who hold a bachelors maybe even a masters degree but not just one degree. I've studied and researched into both the software and hardware side of things at many various layers of abstraction, and this doesn't include the math and sciences behind it. I just can not afford to attend the classes to earn those certificates, degrees... Yet that doesn't stop me from being devoted to the craft. I would love to get into doing both Hardware and Software Engineering... From basic circuitry to designing and implementing ISAs, perhaps even designing a new modern system programming language and potentially even possibly a basic, seamless, but versatile OS. Perhaps I'd call it Doors and the loading screen with permission would play Break On Through... Lol just kidding. No I wouldn't really call it that. I wouldn't even know until I was at least 1/2 to 3/4 through its development stages... I like just about anything that is related to Engineering. I like math, physics, a bit of chemistry, logic, logistics, computations, problem solving... If it involves FFTs I'm intrigued... :) I'd love to do this for a living but without degrees, without any work history in that industry, or knowing or meeting the right person... I'm just left out in the wind, who would hire me? I digress though, I just do what I can with what I currently have. It would be nice to build a new rig with desirable components to suite my needs for the baseline system running at about $2,500 - 3,500 with maybe an addition $500 - 2,000 in additional accessories and potential paid for software suites. With a system like that I could potentially showcase my own builds showing them at various stages of their process...

@@skilz8098 So condensing all of that into a neat reply heres what i got. If you havent already done so, check out some videos from PirateSoftware. You may get the inspiration to achieve your goals. You know them, are able to articulate them, but have seemingly impossible obstacles to get there. I think his perspective on software might give you the confidence to get there. Papers and certs are great, but being able to apply the ideas behind those certs is more important. There are many many many people with papers who cant apply concepts who need replacing by those who can, or those who can apply concepts are certainly able to monetize their skills privately. You may just need some positive reinforcement to get you moving in the right direction. The guy even mentions slapping D&D in your resume to show leadership and group cooperation. Check his stuff out if you get the chance, and keep working toward your goals. You will be able to find a path if you keep an open mind and determination. Edit: check if a free virtual machine is an option. Im not sure about using ot to game, but maybe a cheap solution to help you continue programming

Dont worry fellow pioneer! I think one of the best aspects of this game is the freedom it allows each player to do things the way THEY choose. This was not the first place that I built my nukes, but it seemed the most convenient after 3 seperate playthroughs and having the Alt Recipes. If you really love this spot, coal plants are not as complicated to set up and run as nukes. Dont be intimidated to move your whole setup to another location. I play this game based on one rule: Do things the way that makes it enjoyable for you! As long as you keep this in mind, Id say your doing everything right. Thank you for stopping by!

First off, I feel that the volume of your voice is too low compared to the background music, at times it is hard to follow. Second : OCD won't allow this build.
@relikpenguin2 ай бұрын
You are correct about the audio. The music is attempting to cover poor mic quality, donations accepted toward a new one 😉. I left out placements and belting so that OCDs and nons alike can utilize the spot to their pleasure. This spot is probably not friendly if natural landscape is your thing.Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you for stopping by! I am currently running 12 nuke plants at 100% clock and expanding. This build excludes the need for any oil or aluminum producers at the location greatly reducing the footprint. Vertical routing also help keep things compact.

Do you know if this still works now
@relikpenguin Жыл бұрын
I dont see why it wouldnt, but i have no way to test since i have completed them already. The condition to be met for the accolade was "win", not "place first". Doing this method satisfies the "win" condition based on team points, rather than satisfying by "placing first" as an individual. Thus, there is no glitch involved. In theory you should only have to test one race instead of the full set to see your counter change on the accolade. If it no longer works let me know here and i will remove the video. Best of luck!
