I haven’t lived with one for several years and realize I need to make a concerted effort to bring one or two back into my life. I dabble in Feng Shui too. I remember reading that cats channel and balance chi (energy) in their living spaces. They seem to sit in places where the Chi coming through the room needs to slow down and disperse a little. Those places are often off the ground on something that sticks out into space a bit. The spot on your desk looks just like one of those places. I think your Kitty is balancing the Chi in your office. I bet it feels more relaxed with him there. Enjoy the new year!!

You find a lot of Abyssinians for adoption - more so than of other cats (at least in my country). This tells me that they are not for everyone. I am thinking about getting 2 Russian Blues - they are very hard to find for adoption even thought we have many breeders here, so people are generally getting along with them. They are more on the calm spectrum - something that agrees with my life style. Though I love Abys and their behavior - they are simply not for me (small apartment, no garden).
