I currently go to a non denominational church and want to join the Orthodox Church. I’m 16 and unfortunately my parents would think it’s a cult or very extreme and wouldn’t let me join. I go to college in a year and a half and am thinking about going to an orthodox there especially because there are no nondenominational churches near campus. Former Catholic, now Anglican. My patron saint I chose at confirmation and who I still pray to this day, is St. Nicholas the wonder worker. I chose him because in part I long for a reunification between the eastern church, and the western church. Ive always loved St. Nicholas, I wish there was more information about his life.
