@MithposterSyndrome sometimes the most difficult part of tanking is to counteract the volatile enmity from other party members. Burtgang helps a lot on this. I also found good entry level sword the Brilliance if you are lucky and get it with bunch of enmity. Excalibur is not that bad either.

@ the best ever for targeting was the original Logitech G15 keyboard with the 18 macro keys, arranged in 3 groups of 6 keys. It’s like it was made for FFXI healers lol.

Edit to add: using tab/f1 is how you put the cursor over your party members, this is not a starting from 0 knowledge guide. There is an expectation that basic game info. If your expectation is that each “crash course” video is supposed to include an entire list of controller and keyboard commands it’s an unreasonable one.

Battlemod is a chat filter that you can change by going into the lua, it has very in depth filters that you can change to however you like and you can have a different set of filters for jobs, for instance you could see damage on warrior, but then switch to whm and if filters are set correctly you will not

Absolutely! It’s probably going to be a while until I get around to making a video for it but off the top of my head a few good ones: timers, party buffs or xiview to see buffs/debuffs, is the one you can see in the video but isn’t always accurate. And there is an in game setting as well that will show you icons of statuses on a player you have targeted

Try Shortcuts. Makes it so you can type /cure or /C4 and you can also add your own abrievations in the lua.

Hi @@Hockey_Is_Awesome! I didn’t add my specific sets because I think the three sets are a good generic starting point that you can tinker with and customize to your liking. For instance you can have multiple spell interrupt sets for different thinks like phalanx, enmity/aoe spells, and curing. I recommend taking a look at the sets at this guide: www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Community_Paladin_Guide#Tanking:_Mitigation_&_Enmity It has sets that you can use as jumping off points for each of those things as well as well built high end sets for modern content.
