Thank for the videos! My buddies and I are kayaking novices, but I have been using these for adventure ideas in our area. Would you say that the rapids for this segment (Brunswick to Point of Rocks) are no more than Class 1? We are looking to do this casually with camping in June and we all have Sit-on-top yaks not really rated for whitewater beyond that.
@theadventureswithben2 ай бұрын
There is hardly any rapids from brunswick to point of rocks esspecially in the summer. Nothing worse then class 1 it's a good section for sit on top boats.

Hello from Pittsburgh. How loose are the trails there east of the divide this early in the season? We typically have muck until mid April.
@theadventureswithben2 ай бұрын
Trails have been hit or miss latley. We had 2 weeks of warm and dry weather so it was good but now we got a lot of rain so it'll probably be muddy for a while longer.

Awesome video man. I want to kayak the same thing too. I live in Leesburg so i trying to go kayaking everywhere. It would be so awesome to do that with you man. I love kayaking. I want to kayak from Point rocks to Algonkian Park in sterling. That would be fun to do too. This was a good video buddy. Thanks you for sharing it. Hope to met you on the water man.

All low-mid level Marlins sound like that. It's a combination of internal cable routing rattle and chain slap. His is a 2020 Marlin 6 which has a Shimano Altus rear derailleur which doesn't have a clutch so the chain will slap against the chainstay. Newer Marlins now feature 1x drivetrains which have a clutch on the rear derailleur. As for the internal cables, the solution to that is to route a foam sleeves (they're sold by Specialized bicycles) inside the frame tubing. Both upgrades can be done for about $300 in tool and parts. I did them myself to a 2019 Marlin 7 which came as an Altus/Acera 3x9 and is now a Shimano Deore 1x10.

I used a Go Pro Hero 10. Most of it I had my camera in one hand for but some of the shots I had my parents record my going under. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Haha that's funny. You thought you were driving the boat 7:56. Those pesky auto-pilots always shatter the dreams of young people trying to wreck the boat.^^
@theadventureswithben4 ай бұрын
Interesting fact is the Matanuska does not have an auto pilot. Someone's job is to stay at the wheel and take commands from a navigator and captain. We were taking commands from the navigator port or starboard however many degrees and we could feel ourselves actually in control of the boat. They were assisting us as well so we didn't just keep going back and forth and trust me they took the wheel as soon as we started turning too much.

Another great video Ben - thanks for posing and sharing. I've only done about 1/5 of the trails in your video of which I've toted my chainsaw to clear some of the trail of fallen logs (over 2 dozen large trees). It's a shame no one completely maintains the bulk of this trail as there is so much to enjoy. Riding 45 miles of the 81 mile full pool perimeter of our reserviour is really impressive to do in one day and a great achievement. I see you missed the trail I cleared between the eastern side of Oakland road and Ivy Mill road, and as you know there are multiple trail options along the way. Keep these videos coming. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸 Liberty Reservoir facts en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Reservoir 2 of my videos on clearing trails @ liberty kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3fHm2aoh7Jqjs0 kzbin.info/aero/PLVZORPgNmJy2lsLXvUP2yf7q0h4f18b_p
