Fkn LOL, my Dad's an old goth, and in the 90s the only tv he'd watch voluntarily was The Simpsons and the occasional documentary, but my Mum watched Neighbours, and my Dad thought Toadfish was fkn great. That was like, the one mainstream cultural reference he understood 🤣 The UK does have a particularly interesting love for Australia. Y'all are like the favourite child we're secretly envious of, lol. S'like the UK in spirit and attitude, but with sun, and space, and... natives to oppress, I guess. Since the gingers slowly began to infiltrate the upper classes things got a bit muddy I s'pose. I dunno. I think every Brit secretly wants to be Australian, on at least some vague level. Personally, the only reason I didn't escape down yonderwards years ago is the existence of the huntsman spider. Fk that thing and the hateful god that thought it up 🫣 Edit: I'm not a soap type or an anime type, but I promise you Amber, if you make a Neighbours anime I will watch every episode, buy the merch and stream the visual novel 🤣👍

39:50 Several years late but regarding the fallout lore bit. Jet came from Fallout 2 and was **allegedly* invented by Myron. A high INT character is sceptical that Myron actually did especially since it's derived from pre war sources. Which is valid since Bishop got his wife addicted to it before Myron was born. So jet being prewar isn't a retcon exactly.

If you find someone to give you the links. But I guess if you like the content you should support them and stop being a freeloader. They are the only people I support on patreon. Also the cheapest tier is like 1 dollar.

6:21 Course, the song was Fred's inner monologue of his heart arguing with his ego, and his macho pride refusing to face reality. He may not be "intelligent" exactly, but the guy has depth and wisdom that people didn't appreciate cos they only saw his dumb hat and big shorts. He *was* the voice of a generation, whether that generation likes it or not 🤣

Man, this video came out in 2018, it's now 2024 and I still giggle like a child every time I pay for something by tapping my card against the thing. We live in fkn Blade Runner and that is never gonna stop being completely fkn batsht to me 🤯🤣 Edit: It bothers me way more than it should that I mention Blade Runner and then 5 minutes later Gabe mentions Blade Runner. I may be one of those prefogs or something, but sometimes it feels like people are intercepting my brainwaves. 6 years in the future and/or past. I mean, hey, we only think time works in a linear fashion cos we invented it. Maybe tomorrow is yesterday. You don't fkn know. Definitely feels like it sometimes.

It's not just that RE4 controlled great for tank-control standards, it controlled so fkn well that a surprising amount of people completely misremember it as being the first game to get twin-stick third person shooting controls right. Like, they have to superimpose whole 2nd stick into their memories to make it make sense 🤔

I am part of the early 90s sf2 era in Australia, and recently got back into it, and i have been going crazy trying to find out exactly the sticks we had because i remember how awesome they were. I have a madcatz t2 and it feels so sloppy and crap, so I finally out it was MCA sticks! I agree with everything you said. I currently ordered a Seimitsu LS-38-01 because it seems the closest style i can find, its very stiff, and short throw.

The early 2000s were a pretty rough time for America, thinking about it. That was around the time they realised 90% of the country completely missed out on the 90s, and then they learned even their allies kinda hate them (in the grand scheme of things, at least). More or less explains that era of music, I guess 🤔
