Really cool, congrats! I would improve this by using better characters for the window border, google them up and copy paste the UTF-8 fancy border characters. I also recommend considering using a lower-level library for this and maybe using a lower level language in general, since the frame rate looks very slow, or simply optimising your current code. Do you have a shell inside of this? Maybe a continuation of this project would be embedding a simple shell of your own, with pipes, redirections, etc?

As a linux user, dont listen to the haters bro, tmux is an extremely useful program and the fact that you designed something similar to it on your own shows your growing as a developer in the right direction. As well, it doesnt matter if your tool is practical or not, on its own its a really cool demo and i cant help but imagine you learned and grown as a developer while making it. I hope you keep on making awesome stuff and if you make groundbreaking software that you port it over to linux for us X3

#1: Python is extremely slow and a horrible idea for anything you actually plan to use #2: What you have just made is something that any Linux user cringes at, not flexing on them #3: who the fuck cares what you made in Python? Linux isn't all about the terminal, it's about open source software and the freedom to use it void of corporate bullshit, not about who was the best features or who can make the best Python shit
