It all makes so much sense. Evn with the affordable care act, we lost out on a public option that could have lead to the kind of care she is talking about. Hard to feelthat sorry for time pressed doctors when it was the AMA that stoped Harry Truman right after the war from implementing a National Health system.

In a Nature article "Life expectancy can increase by up to 10 years following sustained shifts towards healthier diets in the United Kingdom", they showed that just looking at diet and their very limited categories, people in the UK could live 10.8 and 10.4 years longer men and women, respectively. The current UK life expectancy at birth is 79.36 for men and 83.21 for women. Doing the math, we get: 90.2 years for men and 93.6 years for women. So that is already past that "limit," and that was just diet, and based on common diets in the UK. That ignores exercise, preventative medicine, reducing medical accidents (in the US at least 250,000+ people die every year due to medical mistakes...things that could have been prevented with good judgment), maintaining a near optimal weight, cleaner air, cleaner water, fresher food, decent sleep, a safer environment, less alcohol and tobacco, less Advanced Glycation End-products, Oxysterols, and other chemicals created with high temperature cooking. Then there are all sorts of other things that look interesting some of with will likely turn out to have advantages, but it is unclear which at high assurances at the moment: red light therapy, antioxidants, polyphenols, anti-inflammatories, glucose reducers, carotenoids, omega 3 and/or other fats, mitochondria/NAD boosters, senolytics, various fasts and near fasts, HBOT, chelation therapy, plasma donation/plasmaphereses/plasma replacement therapies, hormone replacement/boosting, various forms of exercise (HIIT, cardio at various levels and durations, resistance, isometric), meditation, stretching/yoga, cryotherapy, microneedling, fun exercise vs challenging, and lots more. Well, if many work, but each with a small benefit, that optimum would be unlikely to be reached, as people don't want to devote that much time to trying to live longer. Maybe 5% of people would. Just getting 90-95% of people to eat healthy would be a huge win.

I wonder if the researchers are aware of the mitochondrial interventions that are now available like photobiomodulation, and REHIT. I doubt they are. I’m still going to for 100.

Was avocado oil mentioned? It's made from the pulp not seed and from what I found on it, it's really healthy and no bad issues that I could find.

She's fear-mongering to sell her products. Most people can't afford grass fed grass finished meat and it doesn't matter because a lot of people have reversed their chronic and even life-threatening health issues by eating regular supermarket meat, fish, eggs on the carnivore diet, including diabetes and Hashimoto's without taking her or any iodine supplement. Just meat (preferably beef), salt, and water.

Things which makes carbs into bodyfat: 1) polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, 2) flax seed, 3) undereating, 4) high fat diet in long term, 5) soy, 6) very high protein diet, 7) low carb diet, 8) stress. I want to add that when carbs get converted to fat, people get also a light form of dementia. Proteins get converted into carbs and then into fat under above mentioned circumstances Sources for every point above: point 1) channel Fire in a bottle @fireinabottle3410, dr. Ray Peat, point 2) channel Strongsistas with Wendy Sellens, point 3) Minessota starvation experiment, point 4) Georgi Dinkov, point 4) point 5) as point 2 and dr. Ray Peat, point 6) channel Strongsistas, Georgi dinkov, Minessota starvation experiment, 7) as point 3, 4, point 8) Georgi Dinkov, Ray Peat.

About praise : isn’t it a matter of balance, not too much and not too little. An awful lot of people walk around miserable because they never were praised for the things they did. Praising also carries a message that the child is seen and recognized. Just saying.

Hobbs Kessler is an interesting runner. He was fast coming out of high school, went pro instead of running in college, plateaued a couple years, but improved enough in the last year of to bronze in the World Indoor Championships, win the mile in the World Road Running Championships, and finished fifth in the 1500m in Paris with a time of 3:29.45. He also competed in the 800m in Paris. He is still only 21 years old. What is interesting about his recent rise is that he said he decreased his long runs to about 7-8 miles and does not do any single run session long than 50 minutes. I think his approach is worth looking into and mentioning. Thanks.

Burn and crash prevention by ditching coffee. 😭 I am down to 1 cup in the morning. Brad, could you expand on coffee? Or did you already? It’s a very unpopular/ unpleasant subject, however the stress coffee gives is of a high impact and messes with hormone balance. Love your work, thanks!
