I've had Say You Swear on my tbr for a while now. I need to get around to reading it, but I have such an issue with Meagan Brandy's writing style. She jumps from one thing to another with not enough context in-between transitions. It throws me out of her stories. I recently read The Deal Dilemma by her, and I really liked it. Then, I started reading her Brayshaw series. Loved the first book, and by the 3rd book, I had to throw in the towel. She's either a hit or a total miss.

I'm considering getting a tbr cart. I don't know if I really need one, or if I just think I need one because so many people seem to be enjoying having one... 😂. I think, if I do get one, I'll spring for a more substantial metal one. It's unfortunate this was a fail for you, but it was actually helpful in the sense that it alerts those considering buying one to make sure it will suit their needs. I will definitely be checking out what the weight capacity is now.

Hello Heidi. This was an enjoyable vlog and the way you go about your unhaul is unique and appreciated. I love that you do not put spicy books into Little Free Libraries. This is so commendable and very much appreciated. I've seen questionable books in LFLs in the past and I've taken them out for the same reason. And I know what you mean about those thick and smaller books being uncomfortable in your hands. Really related to this and I thank you so much, Heidi. I knew I wouldn't enjoy Wicked so I never bought it !!

I read How Does It Feel back in February. I'll have to do a refresh here soon in preparation for What Did You Do. I quite enjoyed the first book. Bride has been sitting on my TBR shelf for a while now. At one point, I was excited to read it - at peak hype. The excitement has waned. Don't know what it is, but I'm not feeling the fantasy these days. I'm firmly in contemporary dark romance mode, lol. God of War was a bit of a disappointment. It just seemed too detached from the rest of the series. Plus, it was a huge letdown that there was no meaningful group scene to end the series on. I mean, it was THE END, and we (the readers) were completely cheated out of a "gangs all here" moment. And poor Remy got the shaft. He was owed, at least, a novella in my humble opinion. In GOW, I also took issue with the 3 bundles of joy. That was too much. Sheesh, more like a nightmare - not very romantic, 😂! I digress. 😏

Your Fragile Enchantment dilemma is similar to mine with Magnolia Parks at the moment. It's not that it's a bad book. Im 125+ pages in it - my head is not. And I hate to put it on hold. It's just not what I'm in the mood to read at the moment. The struggle to pay attention is frustratingly real. I'm suffering from a massive book hangover from For The Fans, and I want more of that. It was just so darn good that nothing else is working for me. As much as I enjoy an awesome read, it ruins me in more ways than one. 🤪😂

If it makes you feel any better, the book Wicked bears only a vague resemblance to the musical. I hated the book but the musical is amazing and worth seeing!

I had to have the OOP editions of the Magnolia Parks series. I bought those first. They are so incredibly unique and gorgeous that I didn't want to chance damaging them, so I purchased the same editions you have to actually read from. The OOP versions have to be one of my all time favorite book covers. There is just something extra special about them. Worth every penny! God of War was a 4 star read for me. While I enjoyed the story, minus the less than favorable trope, it was too disconnected from the vibe of the previous books. It was too much of a noticeable departure that had me wishing for a completely different storyline for the main characters. Walking away from the series with that disappointment left a slightly sour taste behind. The book was well written, and the character dialog was good. There was some cringy spicy time talk though, 😅. And I have to say the epilogue was a bit on the cheesy side. 3?! Good lordy was that excessive. As well, I was really hoping for at least one good group scene to close out the series - that didn't happen. That was probably my biggest issue with it overall.

Finally, someone that defends twilight. I'm a man, and like Twilight, I guess I must be "odd". However, to me the setting connects with me for some reason. Also I did see the movies before reading the books which I have read multiple times. Something about the movie connects with me I am a musician and there is something about the music and the setting of forks that juat seems very relaxing to me. Like some place that would be absolutely lovely to read at lol. Anyways good job defending what alot of people just seem to not understand.

I've bought 60 books this year oml. 60 Books in 5 months. (Okay like 60 percent of these are secondhand books but still-) I feel you hahaha. What really helps me is keeping a list in which I write every book that I've bought and the month that I've bought it in.... it really helps in holding yourself accountable haha

I Love Larry! We have very few book tastes in common I mostly read fantasy and paranormal romance but I love to watch her channel. She is just so funny and I love her energy.
