Whenever I'm away from home I take Clarity with me, if the world ends I'll find a machine that'll play this. Then I'll die happy.x

Cautioners has to be one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs. I've been obsessed with the robotic guitar sound they describe here (I thought it was midi). This interview was a great find

The best song from Clarity. Love whenever I've seen them and they play stuff from clarity. Their catalog is amazing

My Band "3 Day Funk" played there years ago. We opened up for 3rd Eye Blind about 1 year before anyone on the east coast knew who they were. I bought their 1st CD out of the trunk of their car!

I just missed out on tickets to this show and one in Southampton (where i live) and ended up going on a trip to Liverpool and saw them in a tiny little place that was smaller than the venue I'd seen them in 2001. Good memories.

I saw this video when I was like 13 or 14 and it definitely inspired me to pick up the guitar. When I was 17 I saw them open up for the Foo Fighters. We were all blown away, they were SO GOOD! Truly Jimmy Eat World is an underdog kinda band, way underrated and just pure quality. Love em to bits

very much disagree on the Sweetness album being better than demo. From the rawness of the sound, Jim's vocals are more high and energetic, that dumb "dink dink dink dink dink" on the piano, things aren't double tracked...

What Nirvana did to the hair bands now does the same thing to boy bands thanks to Jimmy Eat World

In the early 2000s music is getting too cheesy and bubblegum again, fans have had enough, and they found a savior when Jimmy Eat World preformed on The Late Late Show with this song, and teens and young adults have found a whole new kind of musical heroes. It led an army of young fans that formed their own bands and sparked a musical revolution

In 1991, Nirvana helped sparked the Grunge explosion with Smells Like Teen Spirit 10 years later Jimmy Eat World’s title track of Bleed American help sparked the Emo explosion in the mainstream

Long story short.. One of the best bands I ever heard. I started listening to them in the late 1990's thanks to a friend turning me onto them. I ended up moving to Arizona in 2000 for recording school and saw them in small clubs like the Big Fish Pub and Anita's Hideaway.. I got to meet them and hang out with them in their small silver trailer. Thought of them as rock Gods only to find out they were just everyday people like you and me. Then their promoter dropped off some singles from Bleed American at the cafe I worked at which I grabbed. Fallowing another show shortly after where they filmed for a video I ended up being in. What a great record and tour. And then about three years later I was going to see them open up for Green Day in a sold out stadium of over 10,000 people. Just crazy to see them blow up. And then Futures fallowed and again what another amazing record that was. Can't believe its been 20 years but I still listen to them today. One of the best bands ever.

I wish Tom did them on the records instead of Jim doing all his own backing vocals. Their voices contrast amazingly well and it doesn't really get showcased anywhere other than live shows

I got into Jimmy like in 2006 I was bored with all the punk crap I was listening all messed on drugs and one day I was packing up the house and I found bleed American and it changed my life. My friend died of cancer and I got me a peacock tattoo from chase this light. The best band ever.
