C'était la fameuse série "Grand 8". On a failli faire la 9e défaite de suite pour l'OM (hélas 0-0 pour ce 9e match) et ça aurait été super humiliant pour eux car leur sponsor de l'époque était 9Télécom (tous les sponsors de l'époque de l'OM était des boites où RL Dreyfus avait des parts majoritaires)

When I heard it as I child, I only remembered the first half of this music. Only after found this recently that I finally remember the full music. Completely forgot the game's title so I just search using "SNES Soccer".

Quand la France était digne de la main de Midas. Tout ce qu'elle entreprenait se transformait en or. Dans son cinéma "La Folie des Grandeurs", ce script, cet humour, ce jeu, ces décors K.Schubert, Funes, Y Montand, la musique de Polnareff.... Tout dans ce film te gifle par le génie, la perfection. Je maudit à jamais les médiocres qui ont amenés la France a sombrer depuis. Je crains que nous ne retrouverons plus jamais ce génie d'antan. Hélas.

Not music by Dave Whittaker, it's by me, although not my best work. This came from a demo disk of random music I sent to Psygnosis and for whatever reason, someone decided to use it in this game. I think this was from my "how does SoundTracker work?" phase.

@@MattBarton Not at the moment. I only did new stuff sporadically after the Amiga years but I've made a full album worth of music for a game that didn't sell well last year, which I consider my best work. I was going to upload that on my youtube channel when I can get around to it.

Nice! This was one of the first games i booted up on my new amiga back in 1988 or 1989. And while I didn't particularly love the game, the sound collage musical opening fascinated me. I'd borrowed a stack of originals from a friend (or maybe he brought them over, who knows). I later enjoyed Baal, Anarchy, and of course, TKGS. Which is still a real mastery of space and digital channel economy, as well as a banging track.

Amusant, j'avais entendu parler des critiques de l'auteur vis-à-vis de l adaptation, notamment les gants blancs, merci pour cette archive montrant comment on peut se tromper, le film est beaucoup mieux que le livre...
