yesterday I witnessed the owner of this business blocking parking spots for her to use at her convenience. She was blocking the launch ramp of Quail Lake for others to use for a very long time. She took over the beach with her boards. She then provoked a guy and made a false claim to CSPD. That dude LOST IT ALL on her and the CSPD when he did nothing wrong besides ask her to move. I heard it and saw it. Maybe she will learn not everyone is going to allow her to be so rude, lying and self entitled. I know by her other responses this is gonna be interesting. I will edit after she responds something about her being harrassed, or she's a woman owner of a business. If we all contact Colorado Springs Parks ands Recs Dept, mayhap we can get her permits pulled. She cant continue to do this to people. EDIT: She called the cops on me for this Harassing review. Had a nice talk with CSPD, about how she received a phone call and this review. Maybe if you act less self entitled, and stop making false police reports and act like a human, you wouldn't have been in that situation.

Jack Wilson is the only one who actually nailed it. Maryland State legislators made this chaos in education in the Kirwan law mandating local counties to fork up the money to raise salaries to teachers and to create positions that no county in Maryland can afford to pay. State of Maryland doesn’t give the money to Local Counties! Our school board and the Superintendent is amazing but they cannot invent money! Nobody is cutting anything because they want to but because they have to! Thank you Commisioner Wilson!!!

More studies and no action. Does Maryland really not want a new bridge or is the state that badly managed. The recent bridge collapse suggests the latter. Delaware has a twin span with 8 lanes total that fully opened in 1969, so this isn't some new-fangled concept or never been done before.

After what just happened in Baltimore, they should be considering a tunnel there as well as on US-50. My solution would be a tunnel as on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. No bridge over the shipping channel. I sketched out a 4-lane bridge-tunnel there for US-50 eastbound traffic. Island near the west anchorage, another near the east end of the eastern channel span. Just south of the two current bridges. About 9,000 foot long tunnel. Someday in the future when the current bridges wear out they can be replaced with 4-lane bridge-tunnel for westbound traffic.

I left the area 30 years ago so I really don't have a dog in the hunt. It does seem that a new bridge is in order. The original bridge is over 70 years old. There should be one cable stayed bridge to replace the two current spans. I am not aware of any protection to the bridge piers to keep them safe from a cargo ship. As for a train...no train could possibly climb the grade required for the bridge to cross the Bay and allow for ship clearance. A separate bridge with a drawbridge would need to be built. Just my opinions. It's your problem, Maryland, and it's a big problem.
