I have always this mixed emotions everytime I play this song from them.. sad and happiness and I don't know why. but overall it brings me back to good old memories during my teenage years. RIP Layne Staley and Mike Starr, you are dearly missed! Keep in on Jerry and Sean this is so meaningful. Thanks for sharing this video I love it!

Nutshell was always near the top of my list for favorite AIC songs, but after they opened their MTV unplugged set with this song, it not only instantly became my all time #1 song of their's, but that acoustic version became my go to instead of the album version as it is just so powerful! Losing Layne was no doubt devastating, but finding and adding William was a brilliant choice! Can he sing like Layne...no...not many can, BUT William isn't too far off and he brings so much passion in his singing.

Although dude is a good vocalist he can't touch Layne Staley and for some reason I don't think the band should have kept the name cuz without Layne it's not Alice in Chains not sure why it bothers me. Still an incredibly heart wrenching song 😢

Thanks! It was the only show I attended where he did the solo by his mic stand. The others shows he did it on the opposite end of the stage. I was so happy I was able to capture this!
