Not a river I've paddled, but looks an interesting Grade 3 run. Which section is this - I'm presuming Abercraf to Twrch Confluence? The level looked quite low, any idea what the gauge reading was on the day?

Hi Zahid, we rode out into the Shropshire lanes Christmas day, pothole and mud dodging. Still fun on quiet roads, Welsh roads look better!

hi phil, im glad your getting out buddy. any ride is better then nothing. at least the roads were quite so you can take in your stride. i really enjoyed my ride.

River name's spelt incorrectly, it's Clywedog, not Clewedog. You'll probably get more views with the correct name.

Well that looked unpleasant. I saw that you had a paddling jacket on (good). Hopefully the rest of you was appropriately dressed. Spent a day repeatedly rescuing two guys in an aluminum canoe going down a flood stage creek in 45 F degree weather. They were wearing cotton. Sigh. What I was doing in a C1 on that creek (with 2 kayaker friends) is another (and most likely equally stupid) story. Glad to see that you are OK, and that this is not a video from a rescued GoPro.

It’s a messy rapid at any level. Not clean at all. Everyone’s line looked pretty much the same yet everyone had a slightly different experience. Great to see someone got a line to you.

Love the surfing at 11 minutes. The next section of river is really good. A couple of grade 5 portages river left. Make sure you get out before Conwy falls.

i did river Wye in summer in my closed deck inflatable kayak 4.2m long (up to WW3). Stetch from Glasbury bridge to Redbrook. I had nothing like this. It looks potentially dangerous.
