I don't mean to be pest, but the section you have titled "hammered dulcimer" seems to be a solo bodhran, which is a simple skin drum, complete unlike a hammered dulcimer, which is a pitched stringed instrument which is either plucked, strummed or ... hammered. Also, beyond that, if you google "traditional Irish instruments", the term "hammered dulcimer" appears nowhere. Oh I'm writing this after listening to bodhran for 4 minutes...and now suddenly I actually hear a hammered dulcimer. I would argue though, that hammered dulcimer is only VERY faintly an instrument that is associated with traditional Irish music. The fiddle, flute, uillean pipes, even bog-standard guitar are all things that I would associate with trad Irish music long before hammered dulcimer. It should be pointed out that the hammered dulcimer is a vastly different instrument than the Scot/Appalachian 4-string dulcimer which is actually and instrument that mostly originated in the Americas, as a an attempt to emulate the drone of bagpipes. All of these originate in Greece thousands of years ago, but I just thought you should either a) re-edit your video to properly cite the instrument (and credit the musicians) or ton at least cut out those 4 minutes of (fantastic) bodhran playing. I came here for John Field Nocturne #5, I left feeling annoyed about dulcimers...it's a weird world

Can't believe you confused a bodhrán with a hammered dulcimer 🤦‍♂️

@@TeslaDanser well, I didn't...I was confused by the fact that there were several minutes of bodhran but the caption on the video when that section came in said "hammered dulcimer"...which eventually played.

Wow! It was fun to watch events from the whole year with Frank's beautiful photographs and music created by our children. I enjoyed seeing some of the activities of the other orchestras, as well as pictures from my son's orchestra. Excellent visual and auditory scrapbook!

if you get a chance, check out our piece by Stella Sung, "The Phoenix Rising." It's on youtube under FFYO. We premiered it at Carnegie Hall this past June. What a fun time that was!! It would be cool if our orchestras could play together. you guys rock!
