Is anyone else having trouble with the kick drum’s tone quality? I’m wondering if it could be an issue with the EQ… The EQ that comes with Logic seems to strip away the ‘brushy’ character of the kick drum, leaving it sounding overly muffled-almost like it’s kicking from inside a box. I’m trying to retain that brushy (15:00), sustained, snare-like warmth while avoiding the boxed-in tone. Any tips on how to balance the EQ for this? I know the fabfilter EQ is good, but I had hopes, that it could also sound good without it.
