At VIP station (resells new watches at discounts) sells the Black Bay 54 for 23,000 HKD. Which at this time is about £1000 less than U.K. retail. I usually go to them for Omegas or IWCs at discounts. They’re dotted across HK, and you’ll have peace of mind as they’re all genuine timepieces. A good shout if you’re looking for Tudors.

Bezel rotates in one direction therefore unidirectional not bidirectional and from the excellent macro shot, I'd say that's a glass Bezel insert, which is sapphire in the black dial version, easily tested but if you look at it from a slight angle you should see there's a layer of glass over the numbers and colour, a softer look than a ceramic bezel insert where the colour is within the material and the numbers are engraved and painted, look quite different when you know what to look for. Beautiful watch, one of the best to come out of Chinese homage market, equal in every respect to San Martin, perhaps better dare I say. Interesting video with some excellent camera work if a little confused on the details.

Not a turtle, a Captain Willard srtyle case, with a tuna handset and a MM 300 style dial. The Seiko 6105 8110 predated the turtle by some 9 years, the Captain Willard 1968 (6105 8110) the turtle in 1977. The nicely made Merkur Oceanmaster has a wider lug to lug arguably more in keeping with it's largish case. It wears smaller than it's dimensions would suggest thanks to the undercut cushion case. Definitely the nicest Willard style case, although Heimdallr have their Custom Made 6105 8110 which boasts the excellent ETA 2824-2 movement. The Merkur is perhaps akin to a King Willard if Seiko had thought of it. Sapphire bezel insert in the black dial version, not sure about the bezel insert in the orange dial version. Top notch bezel action. Lume is good but fades a little faster than Lumibrite.

Man, you really don’t know anything about watches. You are destroying perfectly good watch. This is a Chinese movement. A really cheep one. But still. First, you don’t have to have the hour hand removed. It is connected to one thin gear wheel. They stay together with the face of the watch. When the face is taken off, the hour hand stays with it. To take the face off, you have to loose two small screws on the side of the chassis. And if I was you, this is how far I would go.

Nh35 movement would sort it , i could build that fake and fact you would not pay 10 d for movement and dial would cost more lol case would be more
