Tell me one thing, why is Sammy Hagar?Having a tribute tour to Eddie Van Halen instead of his brother. What kind of s*** is that is it?Because alex can play no more because he sure acts like he can't walk no more

You can't have isloated drums and not showcase the double hi-hat choke. 😅 Cool isolation though.

I'm sorry but as a professional drummer, I do not believe this is actually Lee Kerslake's track. The drum fill going into the full band intro is from the 2002 re-recording with Mike Bordin. On the original with Lee, the drum fill is such where he plays the toms going straight down from highest to lowest but with Mike, he slightly changed that.

The 16th notes on the high hat and snare don't sound like Lee either

To add what has already been posted, you really need to be a drummer to understand how good he was. He really makes the songs swing and was NOT mechanical like so many other drummers. His feel was incredible and he made those KISS songs move!!!! All hail the ONLY Catman!!

Probably one of the greatest drummers in the planet, definitely in my top three. Al's problem is that he's never been a EASY guy (easy to get along with). He always made a point of silently commanding the VH brothers' club, externalizing himself as a bad boy, a jokester, but in reality he was always extremely musical, serious, more introspective and with his head focused in his agenda (VH business, commercial success and big fat money). It's good that now, at the end of his life, he dedicates himself to philanthropy. Now, he has the chance to use everything he has built (money, fame) to help those in need! Good luck Al and may you continue to be blessed!

His symbolwork, and that "wash" that he creates over the music are amazing me lately.. Not to mention feet.

Having attended clinics and demos while I was learning drums, I heard a few disparaging remarks about Ringo's playing by guys who seemingly had no clue that all the complicated rhythms and fills they were playing on 25 piece kits wouldn't have worked in a Beatles song. Ringo's playing was genius and he knew how to serve the song.

I read (probably in Modern Drummer in the 90’s) that he recorded this entire album without a click, and completely from memory prior to other instruments being recorded. I imagine this is precisely what it sounded like in the studio! 😂🤯 Thanks for posting this.

100% NOT Alex Van Halen. The snare sound is wrong, and the drums are weak. No groove, just garbage playing.

I can tell this is human playing not necessarily drum machine or apps. I personally am listening to the inconsistencies...and am loving it. We are all humans. Even with our inconsistencies, we can all have our own platinum record. Stay true to self, passion, preparation, and purpose.

I'm jealous as I to remember when I discovered Thin Lizzy many years ago. I have lost count of the amount of times that I saw them live. I discovered them just before Live and Dangerous came out. Yes I have all of their catalogue on vinyl. Enjoy your journey with Thin Lizzy. You can check out my other channel QBtracksandstuff as I have a few Thin Lizzy backing tracks on there plus more to come. Enjoy 👍
