Thx! Gary is heavily influenced by Hendrix. He plays all of his songs and not as a copy cat! He makes it his own! Seen this band perform many times and I never get enough.

So... @Annie Kobus. I made negative comments on this channel today. And now I like this video. Annie is just a basic guitarist, and definitely not a great singer. Yet, she's got the blues vibe, I close my eyes, I brought a few beers, We're on her porch. I call some friends (pros), let's jam. There, is a connection. Heartfelt. The real deal. Ms Kobus. You're a real blues singer. I've been a producer for like 15 years, and it takes its toll. To go back to basics is not easy. Yet you immediatly sounds like the genuine vibe of old recordings. My body begin to move, I close my eyes and I'm there. You make so many mistakes, singing. But it makes it real. And the feeling is here. Possibly, you have no idea what a production team can do. Whatever. Also. You have catchy musical lines. Please keep on... I'm across the pond, but some collegues coulld see the authentic gold. Please keep singing. Also. Be more confident in your voice. It matters. Project, control, then seet free.

Thx for revisiting. I appreciate your kind words. Maybe a little bio on this song would help. I didn’t write it or sing it for everyone nor was I trying to impress anyone. I was attacked, beaten and left for dead by a meth head. It happened while playing my guitar and singing. It broke 9 of my ribs and the emergency room staff kept me breathing. I have not been able to breathe normally for a long time (9 months later). I’m still recovering. Just went to the doctor yesterday and they said ribs grew back “deformed”! So I’m grateful to be breathing at all. I know I was singing below my voice range. The only reason I published it publicly was to get the lyrics out there and let the women know that she has not defeated me! I used to write songs one after the other when I was young but lost it somehow. This experience forced me to write down my thoughts and the emotions and organize them on paper. Songwriting doesn’t require expert singing. As far as my guitar playing, I’m taking lessons from a legendary blues guitarist Gary Lee Hutchinson who you will find all over my channel I will continue to learn and grow as a blues guitarist. Not trying to “make it” as a singer because I don’t have a nice voice. But at age 67 now I can accept myself with or without perfection. I work hard as a musician every day. My own success will only come as part of a team of musicians, venues and fans who support each other. That’s why I go out and do vids for them and post their stuff for them. It’s very therapeutic for me now to know that I don’t have to be alone anymore. I’m part of something bigger than myself. It allows me to just be myself and be okay.

Oh please... Can we say to some people that there is more than just *one* chord progression around? Always the same, always? Boring. And not adapted here. Now, this musician has serious skills, but it's cold, ice cold, I can't hear the feeling, the warmth of Gipsy music. The heart, depiste the boring chords. Using steel strings makes it worse. A pity to hear a good guitarist trying so hard, instead of reaching to his soul, look inwards, spread it out as it is. Then, I'd listen more. Despite the boring chord progression :)

Adding this. I tried to stay open, with other covers here. Siberian Ain't no sunchine cover, and butchering Hallelujah. No feeling, no connection. No heart, no art.

Never ask for tips. Earn them. You need to get serious about your vocals. Every word counts. Stop blurting and whispering. Sing the actual notes and hold them so people can hear you. Sing through the lines without whispering anything. It doesn't sound like finesse when you can't hear anything you're singing. Make a connection with the people. Don't just try and be funny with the one next you. If you want to put on a show for just her, invite her to dinner. Otherwise start singing like you have a pair. This just makes me mad when someone doesnt put out the effort and makes jokes that nobody is on their knee's praising them.
