Thanks! Just tried out my new Temu truck cover and found a broken pole elastic. Duct tape did the trick but now it's time to fix the pole. Temu product was worth this minor issue but I now have a few Goghlans pole repair kits in my stuff.

Can you tell me the size of the tent pads at McDowell? I need to buy a new tent anyway and want to make sure it fits. Thanks.
@letsgoadventures5270 Жыл бұрын
The pads at McDowell are various sizes. they list the size on their website when booking. Our tent is 12'x17' and it has fit on all of them we have stayed at. check out the link below. it is their webpage and in the description it notes the pad size as well as proximity to bathrooms and water.
Wire inserted and taped! Thank you for an easy workable method!

We've been to Myrtle Beach thrice in the last five years. I think we'll make it more of tradition to go every year. We live a lot closer to Va Beach, but we love how flat the beaches are. You can walk out like...100 ft and the water would be around your waist. That and there is just more to do in Myrtle than in Va Beach. We'll definitely try camping one year.

We have never regretted it. One time we had some neighbors in a 30ft pull trailer tell us that we had more stuff in that tent than they had on their rig. Lol. So I guess it has to be big for all of our junk. Thanks so much for watching!

I seen on another video , the air port is close, I am old and get up early so, that wont be too big of a deal for me. I am just hoping its cooler for tent camping than it is her in east texas right now. Thanks again for the video and have a blessed week. New sub here, yall keep up the fun videos. Dale

Hey guys! Great video. We might be headed to the state park next week. We don't splurge on expensive campgrounds like this very often, but we might break the piggy bank for this one. Do you have any thoughts on the best site, closest to the beach? We have a 20 foot travel trailer.
@letsgoadventures52703 жыл бұрын
Thanks for viewing! Not sure if you’ve checked out a park map but they have a number of full hookup with sewer sites. That’s probably your first choice. I have a link to it below for reference. (FYI sewer sites are in white) We stayed in 65a and had a decent pull trailer beside us in 65 and across from us in 66. There was plenty of room. You can see it in the video around us. (They didn’t have sewer though) If you’re going to the beach, those sites around the front right side of the campground ( 1-15, 25-39, 65-84) are closest to the beach access point. Bring a folding wagon w big wheels if you’re gonna take stuff into the beach. It makes everything easier. Lastly call the park and talk to them about what you want to do and they will help you reserve to a good spot. The staff there is really good and helpful.

@letsgoadventures52703 жыл бұрын
yikes it must be a narrow pole, my suggestion is to look for "jump rings" and tie the cord to the jump ring. they are used in jewelry making. You need one that is just a few sizes larger than the hole in the pole.

It’s say no dogs allowed from 10 to 5 is that true? Just asking because I am going there soon?

it is true during the summer. you have to go before May and after labor day so you and your pooch can goto the beach.

Does anyone have a video on repairing ferrules? There seems to be a lot on fixing the poles, but I could only find one on repairing ferrules, and he just cut it in half.
@letsgoadventures52703 жыл бұрын
Honestly, i was under the impression that when the pole breaks, its pretty much done and the ferrules are for use in the field when trying to make a makeshift pole or shaft out of a limb or something.

Questions, how far is the walk to the beach, cost nightly, campsite wood cost?
@letsgoadventures52703 жыл бұрын
Our campsite was pretty close to the ocean. The walk was maybe about a football field and a half and all paved until you reach the dunes. We brought our own wood but I think it was about $5. I think the nightly rate was $50 or $55 per night.

I found so helpful this video, but I have a doubt ...how long the shock cord really is ? In the kit package says 11.25 ' , in other hand on specifications at Walmart website says 45'. So I'm not sure if would be enough cord to fix my tent pole.
