I would recommend a 125 because 250 2 stroke is equal to a 450 4stroke so un needed power I know it doesn’t make sense but it’s shown on dyno stats
@TwinTurboLsx3 жыл бұрын
not quite but they are roughly comparable. modern 450's are really leaving 2 strokes in the dust. 250F's are honestly more comparable to 250 @ strokes these days. high 30's low 40's in hp for both.
@TwoStrokeJonathan3 жыл бұрын
@@TwinTurboLsx KTM 250 2 Stroke makes 50hp
@TwinTurboLsx3 жыл бұрын
@@TwoStrokeJonathan it makes 49. It’s the only brand that makes that much. Most are lower 40’s. 450’s making close to 60. So most 250 2 Strokes are closer to 250 in terms of performance.
@TwoStrokeJonathan3 жыл бұрын
@@TwinTurboLsx can agree. KTM also is the only brand that still produces and improves 2 strokes. The Yamaha for example is the same since 2006. So the modern 4 strokes I only want to compare with a modern 2 Stroke and that's a KTM. I am a 100% two stroke guy who used to ride a 250 KTM now got me a 125 KTM that also is fun. I think both can compete with 4 strokes
@TwinTurboLsx3 жыл бұрын
@@TwoStrokeJonathan yeah you’re def right about that. Pretty unfortunate too if you ask me. I ride a 450 but I def still have love for 2 stroke. I like Yamaha but they have really dropped that ball in 2 stroke tech. I believe their 250 is still only producing 38-39 hp.

@@KyleStrever Nice, yeah I was thinking about running it next year. How do you like 250A? Is it like open A?
@KyleStrever4 жыл бұрын
@@mx1209 it was a really fun class each race, but so few riders did all rounds that I won 1st for the season with a bunch of bad race finishes. It didn't feel right to take it. But I plan to do 250A again and earn it. I've never done Open A, but it looks to be a harder class to win just because it's bigger (more fast guys)

Will a 9oz flywheel help for bottom end
@KyleStrever6 жыл бұрын
Yes I think it would smooth it out and help prevent stalling a bit when lugging around. I haven't used one in years though, as I've found the best luck with strong compression, good jetting and also just riding faster.

Yes they help if you ride slowly over rough terrain. If you're a little faster and keep some speed up, they aren't as helpful in my opinion. I had one on my '05 but when I got my current '06, I didn't keep it.
