3:32 now here, black can also capture the pawn a4 with b5 pawn...you can't take with your queen or rook because knight is defending a4

True, however position wise black played the best continuation according to engines. Check it yourself. Thank you for the comment.

That e6?? and he lost his ability for O-O which was in black's mind. Well, that's why its good to know some things like 1. trading pawns is important in certain situations as the 2. understanding of the knights ability to move dynamic in the middle of opponents pawns, 3. having the tempo on your side is important one (when the opponent reacts white advances) 4. the golden rule about releasing the (pawn) tension of the midboard - push from a/h line.

Yes he waited for too long with the pawn breaks and he got punished.

Before learning how to play chess the modern traditional way I played a few years for fun in which I go to strategy was a fundamental pawn build punishing early development and slowly progressing towards the kings side

sac queen f8, if rook takes then rook f8 king has to go h7 then knight g5 check he has to go king g6 then rook f6, king takes knight, bishop h6, king h4, bishop takes queen etc and of he doesn't take queen at the beginning u do the same moves but with queen instead of rook and its mate

To avoid check when queen takes rook inevitably happens. He'd have to do it anyway, so might as well save a tempo while his opponents making another queen.

You didn't explain why not 8.Bxb5. I'm guessing it's because 8...Qa5+ 9.Nc3 to protect the B, and 9...Bxc3 wins a piece. And I suppose that explains why 8.c3 which would otherwise look a very odd move, but it allows 9.Bxb5 and THAT probably explains 8...a6.
@castlequeenside
@castlequeenside 4 күн бұрын
Yeah, missed that one. You are correct Qa5+ is the reason why you can not take that.
