I remember buying his first album "Not the Same" in the early 80'. I was blown away at a time where I was wondering, why are there so few great Christian artists? His voice is mesmerizing, he sings with soul and passion, and a clear love of God. He was the equal of any other single contemporary performer I listened to. I continued to buy his music and be blessed by it, until, much to soon the Lord called him home.

Nice recording and capture of a moment. After 30 years, just yesterday Roby's song "I Shall See God" came to my mind. I searched my brain for his name and couldn't remember it. Then, just before waking up, it came to me! So glad to get reacquainted with his music. I was sad to hear of his passing. His life seemed to be peppered with peace at times and turbulence at other times. I guess that's just life. I look forward to harmonizing with him in our heavenly home one day.

So dedicated to leading worship at a young age, and continuing to serve in a mighty way. You have been an inspiration! May God bless you always.
