The predicament of the contemporary man refers to the problems or challenges people face in today’s world. Many people today feel confused, lost, or worried because of the pressures of modern life. They may feel anxious about their jobs, relationships, or even their purpose in life. Just like in Doctor Faustus, some people want more knowledge, success, or power but may not find real happiness. They feel stress and face many emotional and mental struggles in life, which is why they sometimes make decisions that lead to more problems.
