I usually play codm on an iPad and have got really used to the touchscreen controls. I’ve found it harder to aim and shoot with a controller so for now I prefer playing codm on an iPad. Aside from that I play nba2k arcade on my phone with a backbone. Also looking for some old school games to emulate but I’ve found most of them aren’t even available on an iPhone primarily nba street.

I think I found a use for my dusty back up android phone I got for free.

I’m currently on the free trial. It’s pretty neat. But just doesn’t feel ideal. I think it’s good if you like physical. But most of the games are readily available through PS plus or Game Pass. At least in my experience so far I don’t know yet if I will stick with it.

Great review, and as a Backbone user, this looks really good to me. One thing that sucks is if you don't have Backbone subscription, there are a couple buttons you can't map to something else. Another thing is I have to take my case off to use the controller. This thing looks like you could use all the buttons without a subscriptions. Very nice. The benefit of a dedicated handheld is it doesn't come with a bunch of bloatware like a Samsung phone does, nor does it get extremely hot when playing intense games for longer periods. The sleep function works better on a dedicated gaming device as well since your phone will often reserve memory for other things, so when you tap to go back to the game app again it resets.Another thing is you don't get annoying popups when you're trying to enjoy your game on a dedicated device. The price would be a factor as well if one doesn't have a decent phone already. Just my opinions.

What kind of flux or brand do you recommend? I'm having issues with that. The cheap flux included in the toold kit I bought doesnt work properly. :(

I find the JIS bits fit the screws on the original 3DS better than a PH0 or PH00. Can't say for certain but I think they are JIS. I can't tell just by looking I usually see which bit has the best bite and go with that.

the weird antenna/wireless charging looking thing is for amiibo scanning as that is a new 3ds model which had that built in

Doesn't the Anbernic RG406V have the 720p screen you're after? Little bit shorter and wider screen to get the 4" size but very comparable. Also proper sticks with no cardinal snapping and plenty of throw for precision. Only downside is it's a bit bigger, but not massively, and its a vertical hand held with digital triggers in-line with the shoulder buttons.

Why would you buy/review a 1:1 screen device when it's clear you don't like the 1:1 aspect ratio?

The Retroid Pocket Mini could be the one you're searching for. It has a 4:3 OLED screen, can emulate Gamecube & PS2 and also has much nicer analogue sticks.

In the video, you were turning the drive motor speed screw. This shouldnt be touched unless the speed is wrong. You need to recalibrate the spindle that actually turns the disk. To get to it, you have to remove the top black part ( that is held on with the three springs)

Got some DS line handhelds to clean/repair/mod, and had a nice condition ds lite with busted bottom screen, dirty nasty ds lite with good bottom screen. Awesome, best case scenario because top screen is harder to replace. I'll take screen from dirty ds put in clean ds. As I open it, it was a white one, the first thing I though is, this came from a smoker's home. Sure enough, I get it back together and wouldn't you know the screen works but is yellow. I believe the UV lights will help speed this up and not burn up your ds.

To me the biggest waste here is using an SP with an IPS. You plug in the quality batteries on an AG 101 and you get 10-14 hours of gameplay versus just 2.

I bought from them last Christmas and they had pretty good deals going on. They sent it in a box that was bigger than necessary but everything came out okay and it did save me money
