At the beginning, you must accelerate fast to prevent its railgun. Especially if you want to take challenge on the ULTRA HARD difficulty. In such difficulty you will die immediately if you are hit by railgun. My experience is to get a super fast battleship ( > 70 kt), equip it with cannon as big as possible and use the guns to keep hitting Rangarok. If you started 4th round and unlocked the 1600mm cannon, this is a good thing to kill the Ragnarok

Both Druna Skass II and Silfurbor Negla are the embodiment "Use a gun. If that don't work? Use more guns." that whoever designed them had to add "wings" on both sides of their hulls for extra turret mounts.

I haven't heard this since the last time I played the game over 15 years ago and it's better that I remembered it...

At least up here, you'd have a chance to save your ship and yourself, and even hide behind an island from incoming fire. Down there, there is nowhere to run or hide, just water. Cold, dark, depth-crushing water. Your ship will implode under the pressure, and who is to say your submarine, the enemy submarines and mines around you and the depth charges from above are the only things in the water? There's always a bigger fish, as they say...
