Hello George, I hope you would do a video with your new setup with Shure SM7b and the DBX 286s. I currently have the Behringer 2200 and was thinking about replacing it. I am not sure however if I would get rid of my 15 band eq for now. Thank you 73

i think i may need the Behringer Ultracurve??..I want a parametic eq for home use . . Within 1 stored patch, i want to boost/cut several 'different' bandwidths between 20hz -20hkhz... im 1: unsure how many user slots there are and 2: If you can use "Several" Bands of Parametric EQ within that 1 user patch?..Im thinking this probably has limitations if you are wanting a Stand Alone Parametric?
@GeorgeEI7KO2 күн бұрын
the 1124p will do this task as is can be used as a fully parametric EQ. The ultracurve is not an easy unit to get to grips with at all.
@bryanwilliams36652 күн бұрын
@@GeorgeEI7KO Hi George, I don't see a "Save/Store " Patch button where you can store multiple user programs.. Some guitar EQ programmes I'm trying to create have boosted mids while others have scooped mids for instance...
@GeorgeEI7KO2 күн бұрын
@@bryanwilliams3665 you can have different profiles saved all right. Id have to refer to my notes though. I have profiles saved for long distance work on the radio where the audio is real punchy and bright. Where as for the not so ong distance stuff I have profiles where its a lot warmer and nicer to listen to. But to answer your question yes you can. All I know is one of my buddys had the Ultracurve and he couldnt get on with it at all. Far to complicated and menu driven, where the 1124p is easier to setup.

I have many programs (jtdx, fldigi) that work fine with my FT-710. I am trying to use the same devices with this program, and nothing makes sense, and omnirig seems to be unable to run the 710 no matter which radio I specift. Thoughts?

Nice job George. These style wheel bearings look pretty straight forward to do. Here in the rust belt of North America, everything is so rusted and difficult to get apart.

The item best done together with this is replacing the rubber boots for the rear drive shafts?. Normally will start to crack after more than 15 years old.

Nice looking..! How much..?? I’m looking a Kenwood ts/50 but would buy that George..
to get more power you just need to remove the French limiters.. i just sold a Grant doing 20w on SSB but only 4w FM, and the VR wasn't bridged like they usually do, so you need to find the resistors they change and put the proper ones in, these are twin final so 20w FM and up to 30w or more SSB PEP is normal..
@GeorgeEI7KOАй бұрын
Id sooner just flick the operate switch on the Amp. the difference between 10 and 20w isnt wrth talking about really. Or worth the effort for that matter. I deal low drive and let the amp do the heavy lifting

Nice video. The RF put out by fluorescent and LED lighting is a big culprit by me; I am looking on adding auxiliary incandescent lighting to my work shed, I have a couple radios in there, to minimize the interference. Then I have to address the pulsing noise coming from my Chinese diesel heaters fuel pump.

An alternative solution is to replace the coin cell with a couple of 10Farad supercapacitors in serries. These are small and can be fitted internally.
