O SLG é um belíssimo instrumento, sou um super fã dos instrumentos e equipamentos da Yamaha, mas em termos de violões flat a Godin é imbatível, som muito mais encorpado, timbre característico, tocabilidade do instrumento em si é muito melhor que o SLG.

They sound very similar! Maybe a little bit different on the output impedance as the other being a hardware pedal, but hardly noticeable!

Si di recente mi è successo che mi hanno bloccato la mia carta Postepay proprio perché infatti ultimamente qualcuno stava provando a fare acquisti online a mio nome ...ho chiamato l'operatore per capire cosa era meglio fare ...alla fine mi ha consigliato di sospendere disponibilità agli acquisti online ...cosa che ho fatto ma visto la trafila che dovevo fare per avere nuova carta ho deciso invece di sbloccare la mia (...poi si dopo ho sospeso gli acquisti online) 😮 ...poi ho richiamato operatore per avere altre rassicurazioni sul mio conto e mi dice "si ora è sicuro ma non caricarla con somme di denaro alte" ... PostaPay Evolution ha un massimale di ricarica di 30 000€ (ovviamente non lascerei una tale somma per quanto possibile...) ma mi domando allora che servizio è se non sono loro a garantire la sicurezza ... cioè sentirmi dire abbiamo notato che lei ha più di 1000€ nella carta non metta più altri soldi per favore? ... Io metto quanto ho necessità di mettere!!!🤷🏻‍♂️ Cioè sono loro che devono garantire la sicurezza che storie sono queste di dire no non ricaricare troppo ecc ecc ecc...

I was about to buy the plugin but thought I should read the reviews first. Seems they were right - the pedal is waaay better than the plugin. The plugin sounds more digital and artificial.

⭕As someone pointed out in the comments, from 0:00 to 0:56 the Pedal's boost mode is set to "Stock" (and therefore has "Bright" active by default, I didn't know that and I thought that with the boost set to 0 there would be no difference) while the Plugin is set to "Lead" and I deactivated the "Bright" (I mistakenly thought that would have made them match) and therefore the pedal could sound a little brighter. For the rest of the video the settings are as similar as possible, obviously the shape of the knobs is slightly different and I did my best.. enjoy!⭕

The sound of the pedal is better

They both sound great but I must admit that the sound of the acoustic has much more depth to it. I have a Godin Solidac which has the piezo bridge pickup for an acoustic amp with the corresponding acoustic output jack. The acoustic sound is a good simulation of an acoustic guitar but it's not the equal of an actual acoustic guitar. Still, an electric guitar is far easier to play than an acoustic because of the more ergonomic slim body and I'm more of a rock guy anyway so I prefer the sound of electrics. I also think that you should have used the Multiac to demonstrate the electric guitar version because that would better showcase its incredible versatility. For me, my Solidac's acoustic output is just for the odd time that I want an acoustic sound and it's definitely good enough for that. However, for someone who is primarily an acoustic player, an actual acoustic/classical guitar is what they should buy. You can still get really good acoustic and classical guitars for not a lot of money from Godin under their Art & Lutherie brand. However, if you only want one guitar and like both sounds about equally, a nylon-string Multiac is definitely the way to go because it's a lot easier to simulate the sound of steel strings with a nylon-strung Multiac than it is to simulate the sound of nylon strings with a steel-strung Multiac. It's also a lot easier on your fingers. 😁

As they use the same Algo Any differences will be down to the audio interface preamps, what gain is on the preamp and believe it or not the additional output cable from the pedal will also make a slight difference. The spring reverb in the Dream is so good, wish they'd release that reverb as a standalone plugin

I currently have 4 Godin Guitars, including 'The Black Pearl', ' xtSA 13 pin, 'A6' Sunburst w/ GK3 , and a 'Seagull S6 Original' W/ Fishman pickup. I also use the Boss Katana Air for listening and recording, I can see the Boss RV6 coming into the family fold soon.

Nice Comparison Between The Two. Both are great however I prefer the Yamaha because the overall sound is less stringy and mechanical. Thanks. 😊

Pick 3 UAD Select Bundle, everyone should get it now. Paid $84 for all three plugins.

Here's my issue -- The Dream 65 sounds very good for home recording and although clunky I like that i can create presets via my I phone. Now I paid $440 with tax for the pedal. Today I could download the Native Dream 65 and one more plug in for $79 (The two plug in Bundle) This irritates me as the plug in sounds pretty damn good - I was about to buy the Enematic pedal (Dumble) for another $400 by -- I'll pass and wait two years for the $79 Dollar download. I'm irritated but I will end by saying that UA offered superior equipment and very useful plug ins andd I highly recommend their R@D and quality -- Just not their marketing.

Thanx for the Video. I´m looking for an acoustic sounding jazzbox and therefore this guitar is (nearly) perfect. In Germanmy you pay about 700Euros for it. N that`s okay.,..

I will buy one of these but can't decide. For recording plugin is more favorable but every plugin needs more cpu. Pedal also have re-sale value and i can use it in live. I am not doing right now but possible in the future. What do you recommend?

Umm, did you leave the foam sheet under the floating bridge? That's just there for shipping. You probably shouldn't demo the guitar with that in there.

Yamaha might sound more natural but Godin sounds more open and pronounced. Godin for solo and Yamaha for chords. I would choose Godin

To my ears, the pedal sounds better than the plug-in. If you listen to the bottom end you could hear that they are different, maybe very little difference, but there is a difference.
