you can verify if the tires are not leaking by spraying some soap mixed with water on the bead lock screws and the base of the valve, and if there are no leaks i suggest you to let all the air out by unscrewing the valve, if u let the new tires sit inflated for a while before using them on track they will deform and u will lose performance, also put some carboard under the rim to avoid scratches. if u do have scratches on the rims u can use a black marker to cover all the imperfections on the rim

Too many of today's kart racers are reckless and do many dangerous things on the track. Take off all the body work and all of the nerf bars and bumpers. And most of them would quit racing. I started racing karts in the 60's. We didn't have all that crap on our karts back then. Everyone raced clean. Because if you did the crap todays drivers do. You paid for it. Painfully.

You should never use any measurement device that far outside of its calibrated range. A 200 psi gage is for truck tires, not kart tires.

Wont the frame just bend back again after a few sessions?
@KartingNoob5 ай бұрын
Nope! So far, it's held the same since after it was "fixed", and lap times are within 0.1s of prior to the accident. The professional repair is basically to use a long pry bar (such as an old axle), but the principle is the same.

I wanna know about kartracing pro;is the physics realitic or the game is just for joy, I will start my career but I will have to travel to my home country for each praictice which means more cost so I will go to practices less beacuse cant fund it ,I am searching for a sim which will give me feel of a kart handling ,not too acccurate but slides and tyre physics will be enough for me
@KartingNoob5 ай бұрын
Yes, the realism in kart racing pro is quite good, but it's impossible to replicate the feeling of a kart in a video game. The great thing about kart racing pro is you can download it free and play the demo track. But if you drive lot, will it make you faster in real life? I'm not convinced. Just everything feels too different for me, basic things like the pedals and seating position. It's still fun but I'm not sure it's a good "training". Hard to describe, I feel like I'm "fighting it" more and reacting, whereas with iRacing I feel more "connected" to the car. For "training", I think it's more important to feel connected and be able to make small adjustments and feel the difference.

Hmmm you take a lot of time and you really abuse you rims. The time you take to get your tools ready i have all old tires off and new tires in by hand. Probably even both sets. The only thing you need is a good beadbreaker.
@BBridder126 ай бұрын
also little tip just put the tire in a water bucket. then you do not have to wait a hour to see if you did a proper job and the tire does not leak air!
@downvisor3 ай бұрын
What tyres are you using? Some brands and compounds are very hard, especially when cold. A Dunlop DFH senior tyre for instance is a tyre you're gonna have a bad time if you're only using a bead breaker but no tongs!

@@downvisor in Europe in the 90’s we did not have the luxury of all these tools. And i think a lot of european drivers know, racing at Marieumbourg belgium and not in summertime will mean frozen tires at Parcferme that have to be put on. So then you learn to do it! And to be honest. To get the tires on then is more difficult then today. It really is more easy. I use now the Lecont Prime slick and they really fly on and off.
@mflaig146 ай бұрын
Can't be fixed that way. What's the metal is bent I'd actually become stiffer if he managed to get it back to where it was dramatically affecting your handling regardless if you get it exactly back in place or not. Can I get you through that days events but it will have to be fixed properly

Adding heat to a new tire is adding a 'heat cycle' to the tire
@KartingNoob7 ай бұрын
Putting the new tire on usually doesn't require heat, but I'll do anything to get the old one off!

Hello I am having a same issue but have a question, are the tires supposed to remain on the ground at all times full lock both ways, or is one side SUPPOSED to lift up? When I turn right, both tires stay on the ground, when I turn left, right front tire goes about an inch in the air. Which side do I jump on?
@KartingNoob8 ай бұрын
Different chassis behave differently and it will vary depending on your caster/etc settings, but in general, one side will lift up when you turn. It should definitely be the same on both sides, though. As far as which side to jump on, easiest way is to follow the video to measure and then jump on the side that's too high.
@woozhi92188 ай бұрын
You steer to one side and the kart lift up that's kart jacking Helps the kart since a kart does not have a differential like a car.

That’s only if you have the money for a new chassis, you can always bend it back to “zero” and race, although it will not be the same as if it was never bent
