Knew circa was dead from personal issues when they fully cancelled the BSN tour due to Anthony's "mental health" and said he literally couldn't tour and then like 3 weeks later he went on a full cross country solo tour followed by an LS Dunes run in the UK.

Really enjoyed this. I can't believe Ryan doesn't find the pop-punk label to be fitting. Ocean Ave, the song and the album cover, is what I see and hear in my head when someone says "pop-punk"! That fat, crunchy, palm-muted guitar intro? Shoot it right into my veins! They are on the Mount Rushmore of early 00s pop-punk bands. I do wish he would have spilled more tea on what drove the band apart so many times in the past-- but happy to see they are back and doing great.

As a long time Melvins fan, I just lost a ton of respect for this guy here. You don't shit talk a Master musician in one breath and then praise a crappy boring band like The Who in the next breath. Not a good look! Some of my greatest rock heros like Prince, aren't necessarily the music I listen to for pleasure, but they inspire me in so many other ways. I have to question Buzz's inteligence when he seems not to have the discernment between what you listen to for 'taste' vs. to learn from and find inspiration. He seems closed minded and seems to think one dimensionally to have such as shitty attitude. Even if we're talking about 'taste' alone....so what! Buzz clearly has questionable taste in music. I mean The Who? I've never heard a sound come from The Who that moved me in any way. If Buzz had taste, he'd spend more radio time talking about Mozart. So, I've seen enough here.

Prince? Who cares what he likes or doesn't like? How sensitive are you? I guarantee Buzz hates the music I listen to but who cares? I can still respect that he's someone who was in the eye of a cultural hurricane that he helped kick start and realize he has valuable things to say about the history of it and music.

But I mean you could have guessed Buzz would like The Who more than Prince. It’s not hard to see. 😂

This was a great interview. Such a huge influence over the years and an experimental artist in every sense. I like his perspective on the immersive nature of art as opposed to say pure entertainment.
