Can you help me with two questions as I'm in the middle of this job myself: 1) I've read about the "rope trick" on several places online - does it help you 'lock' the engine timing like using a flywheel locker? How do you do it? Is it at TDC? I just don't fully understand. 2) following that, I didn't purchase the flywheel locking tool. Do you have any tricks or a combination that work best to lock the flywheel? Unfortunately, I forgot to put the vehicle in gear and 4LO before starting this job. I had planned on jamming the flywheel from the transmission access hatch and maybe also the starter engagement spot. possibly also using a pipe-wrench on some of the pulleys before breaking the crank pulley free.

So when the onity lock isn’t locking what’s the issue? The light turns green like any normal door would you hear the lock engaged. But when I close the door I just turn the handle on the outside without inserting the key and it opens.

My Yoga 12 13" seems very knackered these days. It certainly suffers the random clicking, touchscreen stopped ages ago, cpu fan is noisy and it gets hot and it runs slower, and the chassis has weakened in the top right of the casing from the hinges being too strong for the chassis. Something like this sort of fix wouldn't phase me, but messing with the cpu or screen and then still having the chassis issue it feels like it's had its day

You are not suppose to hold the clutch rod while turning handle after swiping card youre putting a stop resistance between the handle and the clutch rod..handle and cltuch are meant to rotate together as one..
