I have 2 Roland TD17 modules. Do you know if it's possible to connect both of them via USB midi to EZDrummer 3 at the same time?

In your example, since they are both Roland, chaining makes sense. What if you have your roland kit/module AND a percussion pad such as a DTX MULTI 12 to be played together that you wanted to totally use SD3 as your sole source of drum samples? How do you connect both into the one usb-c input on your laptop? You need to get SD3 recognizing both module and percussion pad so you can program both. How do you do that?

Do you know if this would work as a method to get more trigger inputs by hooking up a td11 module with the Td27 master module?

I have the same setup and I'm having trouble getting it to work right, when I hit the kick/toms/snare it all sounds very weak like really light hits..I'm stumped. Maybe I'm too old for this software thingy

Hey, don't worry, it usually takes a while to get it right. It might have something to do with the velocity setting on your drum module or in Toontrack. I adjusted the velocity settings in the module first and the plugged it into Toontrack and adjusted it further there. Hope that helps!

I really cannot thank you enough for making this video. I had trouble linking my modules and there was nowhere to turn that really dealt with my issue other than your video. Since my comment a year ago, I bought all of the EZD3 extensions and I also bought the majority of SD3 extensions with the SD3 core. I am running it as a VST within FL Studio Producer DAW. Anytime that I forget how to link these modules after having played my acoustic kit for awhile, I turn back to your video and it all comes rushing back into my memory. Your voice is so comforting as well. It is always nice to hear in that moment of "I've tried everything and nothing works" sort of situation. LOL! Again, thank you so much for sharing this video.

Hello Amanda! I have a question! Please, how do you configure the two modules? I have a TD9 module(master) and a TD6v module(slave), like yours, but in some pads the sound is the same, in my situation, the floor tom and the china... and two cymbals has the same sound, and i can't find a way to solve that.
@AmandaDalDrums
@AmandaDalDrums Жыл бұрын
Hi Lucas, are you running it together with sample software or just using the modules? The way I got mine to work was using Toontrack SD3 and inside that program assign the midi notes to each pad. I'm guessing the modules can only assign midi notes to the number of pads the module can handle. So if the module only allows for 3 crashes but you've got 4 crash pads it would still only give you 3 options. Hope you can make it work!

Hey, I have a full TD27 module and I am currently using an edrumin separately sent to SD3 to add in my 5 toms and 1 additional crash. I would like to get rid of the edrumin and get a td17, but would I be able to have it program all 5 of my toms and 3 crash cymbals while my td27 continues to trigger snare, bass and the rest of my cymbals?
@AmandaDalDrums
@AmandaDalDrums Жыл бұрын
Hello! That should technically be possible providing the TD-17 supports that many pads (I no longer have the module so can't check). If not you might have to run some of the toms and crashes from the TD27. If you don't want to do that it might be better to get something like a TD-6 that doesn't have a multicore, that will give you more freedom when connecting pads. Good luck!
@jessescheide353
@jessescheide353 Жыл бұрын
@@AmandaDalDrums does the TD-6 have the same parameter controls as the 27? Would the td-11 work for what you’re talking about??
@AmandaDalDrums
@AmandaDalDrums Жыл бұрын
@Jesse Scheide It depends what parameters you mean but they are compatible. If you're using SD3 then use the TD-27 as the primary module connected to your computer and the secondary module as a thru midi device to add extra pads. The TD-11 also have a multicore (meaning the cables are stuck together and only have one input into the module) plus one or two aux.
@jessescheide353

@@AmandaDalDrums thank you for all of your help! Will the td6 work with the pdx100, cy12c and cy5? That’s what i would be using.
@AmandaDalDrums
@AmandaDalDrums Жыл бұрын
@Jesse Scheide You're welcome :) You can find the manuals of all modules online and they will specify what pads are compatible but yes all those will work with the TD-6.
