Great haul chap. Ive been a bit lax with foraging this yr. I sont know of any decent chestnut trees around here sadly, love me a roasted chestnut!

They were tasty, and as I had not picked the walnut trees this year It was a welcome treat. Looking forward to what I can scavange in December...

I also remember the chestnut man in the high streets and next door you could get hot Sarspirella (spelled that wrong i know it 😂 ) to go with the hot chestnuts. Neither are there now, good times back then

All the chestnut trees in the woods that i grew up in in Bromley are no longer standing today unfortunately, many good memories picking up chestnuts for years as a kid. 45 years later, theyre gone...lovely to see others still doing it

Milk is anti-fungal. You can mix 4 parts milk to 6 parts water. Then put the mixture in a fogger and fog your trees. The last option is to put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray your trees. Fogger is best

Great info chap. People dont realise how much space and effort is required to grow ur own food. To feed a family of 7 my dad required a large back garden and 2 large allotment plots that he worked on like a full time job and still we would need to buy in a couple of sacks of spuds and onions a yr. We didnt have fruit or salad stuff, there wasnt the room 🤷♀️

Yea you're completely right. Growing enough year round potatoes for a family would need a huge space. My small garden will never produce enough food, even for just me. I am quite reliant on my wild planted fruit trees, foraging, and the local spud farmer who sells directly from his honesty shed. See you at Mike's live chat tonight.

You're not supposed to drink from the beverage bag. After mixing the drink in the bag, you're supposed to pour the contents into your canteen cup and then drink it.
