My wife's great-grandmother lived in White Oaks. She was a newspaper reporter and was aquainted with Billy the Kid. She considered him a nice guy. A few years ago, I donated 1884 WO newspapers to the museum (schoolhouse). Did you have beer at the "No Scum Allowed" saloon after your walk?

It was closed. I have read they open the old store for an occasion or two. Do you know the events that it is opened for? Hoping to get inside

When I was there, the saloon was open only on weekends. I, alas, was there on a weeekday. Their website says the same.@@PalsofBTKhistoricalsociety

Ha. I get the first view and first comment. Just had a nice visit to White Oaks myself in September. Very cool place and a must for anyone visiting Lincoln County. Nice video, gentlemen. I like the soundtrack too!
