I too would watch Ed Sullivan on Sunday nights with my parents and sister. Some of the acts were so important culturally (e.g. Elvis, the Beatles) that everybody, including the teachers, would be talking about the Sullivan show on Monday at school. Yet, you have to remember this was when people could preform live so they had real talent (Ella Fitzgerald & Sammy Davis Jr.,).

Carol Burnett has no talent im sorry . Compare her to other female comics of her time . She finishes last .

Ive yet to see one complete Ed Sullivan show, apart from the acts. Was it a chat show like Johnny Carson?

That air bag looks like what's used in the pool during the off season where the pool is covered up and these air bags are placed in the pool under the tarp when covered until next year's summer.

Aside from this man's awful criminal behavior, he was /is such a corporate whore and would advertise anything if paid enough.

Was born and raised in NYC and and watched Sullivan on sunday through the mid 50 's and onto the 1960'. All of us watched on our zenith and then on our portable tv. Even when my dad worked sunday till late evening we had the tv for me,mom and grandma.Like to see replays.

The good old days. How far our country and talent have deteriorated from comedy that was funny and not offensive and depressing.
