Have you seen the movie about the Beach Boys. Sad what happened to Dennis, and the one that wrote all the songs that got on drugs so bad. Cant remember his name.

We went to church every Sunday night when I was growing up and watched Ed when we got home from church. Wed eat left over roast on moms home made rolls with mayonaise. Those were the good old days!😊

I keep a fortune cookie message that resonates: “The good old days were once the present too.” I think about that when I see videos like this.

I too would watch Ed Sullivan on Sunday nights with my parents and sister. Some of the acts were so important culturally (e.g. Elvis, the Beatles) that everybody, including the teachers, would be talking about the Sullivan show on Monday at school. Yet, you have to remember this was when people could preform live so they had real talent (Ella Fitzgerald & Sammy Davis Jr.,).

Carol Burnett has no talent im sorry . Compare her to other female comics of her time . She finishes last .

Ive yet to see one complete Ed Sullivan show, apart from the acts. Was it a chat show like Johnny Carson?

9:00-9:08 "Daddy, can I have another turn on the air bag?" "Tell ya' what, son, I'll flip you for it!" That cracked me up every time. That air bag looks like what's used in the pool during the off season where the pool is covered up and these air bags are placed in the pool under the tarp when covered until next year's summer.

Was born and raised in NYC and and watched Sullivan on sunday through the mid 50 's and onto the 1960'. All of us watched on our zenith and then on our portable tv. Even when my dad worked sunday till late evening we had the tv for me,mom and grandma.Like to see replays.

Interesting that of the "Big Three" networks, NBC was the only one to not have the morning team relinquish coverage to the head news anchor. Seems rather insulting to have Katie Couric say "excuse me, Tom" while he's talking. I wonder if he was pissed.
