I've got the 1 - 5 gram rated ultralight SG4 and if I am being honest I find it a bit stiff for a 1 - 5 gram rated rod compared to my other rods with the same rating. That said though you can still feel really sensitive bites through the tip of this rod

I think the butt section is too short. I enjoy using my SG rods as trekking sticks while covering treacherous terrains to the fishing spots.
