Nice. Have you tried Lion batteries? What is the max flight time you get? What is the max range?
@peakperspectives_chАй бұрын
yes, this was using LiIon! up to 15min in such temps, more normal temperatures (20 C+) provide up to 18min flight time. see video description Max range depends a lot on the environment. anywhere from 1-4km or so

@@peakperspectives_chnice Sorry i did not see the description What do you think can i chase freeride ski and snowboard? I want to film my friends riding offpiste this winter. Also i wonder with the the Lion bateries cab you do some freestyle do you have the power to make a powerloop or other tricks?
@peakperspectives_chАй бұрын
@@dimitarnaydenov90 Great question, you can definitely not do powerloops or freestyling with LiIon batteries, you need to insure you're not drawing too much power, to not overheat and/or damage the battery. Also punching out of difficult situations is not an option. So I would really only use LiIons for long range relaxed cruising, even dives can be on the very limit, since you may not have enough power to pull up enough. So for chasing and freestyling I would strongly recommend a LiPo pack, despite the generally much shorter flight times. but maybe you could get away with a 3000mah pack or something on a 6incher. :)

@peakperspectives_ch Thank you very much for your reply. You spared me a lot of time researching. Really appreciate it 🙏 Do you have lipo batteries for the bob 57? If yes, what mAh are they and what is the max flight time?
@peakperspectives_chАй бұрын
@@dimitarnaydenov90 you're welcome! I do fly mostly 1550mah and 1900mah, which last for about 7 and 8min respectively. Subtract roughly 2min for cold temps. I think 2000mah+ batteries should still feel punchy enough in terms of weight, if you want longer flight times. But also 7min are usually enough for my usecases, to get a 2-3 good runs of a scneario.

Great sequences, look and feel of the shots, enjoyed your trip to our beautiful country very much. The weather can become harsh and conditions change fast up there, it can be dangerous sometimes to travel the open waters when the weather is hard. Had a trip myself on the other side of the border of Femundsmarka into Sweden in summer and we too had too change plans for the trip. You can check it out on my channel, but if act carefully and travel with the weather and not against it - then it is always great to be on an adventure no matter how the weather is. Take care and keep on exploring :)

Do you have any regrets getting the BOB57 so far? Compared to a bigger 7inch or a smaller 5inch? People say I should just grab a 5inch and build it myself for longer flight times, lighter frame etc. instead of the heavy BOB57. Im an unsure what to do, just love the look of the BOB hahah
@peakperspectives_ch9 ай бұрын
if you want to do proper long range, you'd need a 4000mah liion pack (for up do 18min flight times), and I don't think there's any way a 5incher could reasonably fly that. For anything else, including the shots in this video, you can use normal LiPos and a 5, 6 or 7 incher. So the BOB57 trades a bit of agility for versatility which for me is great and I've never felt like I needed a 5 incher on top, but I'm also not into freestyle flying. If anything I may get into super long range missions at some point, for which I would prefer a 7inch quad with dual antennas. Hope that helps :)
@max_loew9 ай бұрын
@@peakperspectives_ch helps a lot. Thank you very much. So are you flying the BOB with a 4000mah Liion pack aswell? Is that possible? I think it will be the right drone for me aswell :)
@peakperspectives_ch9 ай бұрын
@@max_loew yes definitely, and I occasionally do, when I just want to do some relaxed cruising. I've uploaded a few videos as well where I was using it. Comes with the downside that you have to keep an eye on your maximum power draw to not damage the Liion pack. But it has the best flight time to weight ratio making it a must have for long range and portability when hiking.

Nice flight! How did the quad feel with that battery? Was it responsive? Did you feel it underpowered due to limited C rating of the battery?
@peakperspectives_ch9 ай бұрын
Thanks! the battery does feel quite heavy when flying and I would only recommend it for when you need the range. What can also be fun is that you get more momentum with the added weight, which gives the flight a relaxed flow. But it certainly doesn't feel responsive, when you're used to lipos.

@peakperspectives_ch9 ай бұрын
@@AroundtheShots can't really go wrong with any of the modern sims imo. Personally I quite like Tryp with the dynamic scenarios and nice environmens, but DRL or Uncrashed are good too. Most importantly, train on the actual Tango controller, not some normal game controller (where the left stick auto centers), otherwise you'll build some bad habits quickly. In that sense - hope it arrives soon haha

@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
actually, I lost the Evoque in the mountains. They are both great drones, but I think the tuning of the BOB57 is superior. With the Evoque I had some vibrations when flying small punchy battery packs, which is no issue at all with the BOB. That wasn't using the same props though, so that certainly plays a role as well. Anyway, that's why I would go with the BOB57 again if I was buying new.

your forgot to enable stabilisation on your go pro. Or do you like it this way?
@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
actually preferred it this way, makes you get a better sense of the speed. especially combined with a low shutter speed / high motion blur, which again pairs very badly with stabilization and lots of shakes (leads to a stable but blurry image).
@beatsmarttie5777 Жыл бұрын
@@peakperspectives_chalright. I think I might prefer it too. I am trying to decide between a go pro hero 4 black or a hero 7 black. The 4 supports 4K 30fps but nog stabilization. Do you have any advise ?
@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
@@beatsmarttie5777 great, 4k 30fps should be enough. I often recorded even with 24fps. In any case you would want to get ND filters to get your shutter speed down on brighter days. Ideally to 1/48th or 1/60th respectively.
@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
oh and that's assuming you're able to headmount the gopro. If you wanted to chest mount or anything else you would want to go for the 7 with stabilization. the head sort of acts as a weak gimbal stabilizes your gopro naturally to some extent.

@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
Hi Artem, both great drones, but I would go with the BOB57. It's got the better tuning if you follow the few instructions from Ellis on youtube. This can be felt in general by how smooth it flies, but most importantly for me by the fact that I got some vibrations when using lighter batteries (1550mah) on the F6D which made GoPro footage unusable. Whereas the BOB always flies super smooth regardless of takeoff weight (within limits ofc).

@peakperspectives_ch Жыл бұрын
