This was my first blues game my grandad took me to as a nipper, been a bluenose ever since

Was at this match. One of my favourite Wolves memories. 14 years old, Sunday PM. Just looked up 17/01/1993 to make sure. My junior match in Brum got cancelled due to bad weather and so I jumped on the train with a pal from the same team/school as me. He was a Bluenose. We stood on the South Bank and I had to hide his BCFC scarf down the sleeve of my Carbrini ski jacket. Good job it never fell out otherwise I might have took a shoeing! The away fans were on the SB as well with just a net in between. There was another Bluenose from my year at school on the other side and we’d had a few scraps over the years. He was giving me smug looks for most of the game. Then Wolves turned it round at the death. I remember launching on to the net giving him a fair bit of abuse. Things ya do as kids etc. I’d only started going in 1992. On my own as a 13 year old travelling from New St. No way my nipper would be doing that now. Different times. He’s with me anyway. Long may that continue. I was pretty much the only Wolves fan at my school. All Villa/Blues and Gloryhunters. Ace to see this footage. Thanks for uploading it.

That never failed to amaze me that they didnt do both of them together or at least when Eric was alive. Ernie was devastated when he died.

Trevor Dark came on as Blues sub, played just five games then drifted into non-league. Must be pleased to see the only action of himself on film, got in a good shot, clipped the cross bar.

Remember blues fans running onto pitch towards away section at the end of the game. The Charlton fans legged it until they realised the blues fans had come to clap them. They walked back down and returned the applause 😆

Legend for me as a young bluenose I sneeked into faces nightclub only to find it full of blues players. Mick saw I was not getting served at the bar and called me over. Bought me two pints and chatted .
