Why are so many sporting events being polluted by loud music? It really is annoying watching this with music blaring in the background. Is it because people have lost the art of conversation and need something to fill the voids?

Disappointing spectator support. We were lead to believe this was a major sport in OZ. Extremely disappointing

Watched this game over and over again, isn't it nice to beat your opponents in their own back yard! Will done Scotland!

Wow what a fabulous game! The Australians looking professional with their tinted glasses and their yellow and green protection cream, hats to complement their top and shorts - Then we have Scotland - white skinned guys with no sun glasses or coloured protection cream, yet again they beat the Australians now on their back yard! Well done guys - You ALL played great!

The goofy crippling walk is due to a very poor delivery of the Bowl , they obviously haven't been taught the correct stance on the mat.
@BassGoBomb2 жыл бұрын
There is no correct stance on the mat. They all have club coaches, county coaches and International coaches. None of whom teach a fixed way of delivery. One can see it some of the states of Oz .. where they have all been coached a certain way .. and it looks very strange, and even uncomfortable for some .. because we are NOT all the same, by any means, and do not fit into boxes. The rules of the game do not mention a stance on the mat. Yet many seem to think that such a thing does exist and cause some unpleaseantness ... yes, even in 2022, nasty comments from people have been made to a friend of mine abourt 'stance on the mat' from someone who hasn't read the rules and was most put ut when a rule was povided and they were shown their error. But, some people are like that ..!! Unfortuantely.

My first time seeing this sport, very interesting and fun to watch, but sadly I can't watch it because of the goofy crippling walk at the start of each throw. Does anyone know why they do that?
@peterbedford4492 жыл бұрын
When you throw a bowl you have to bend down to get into position. When you follow through you are bent down and your arm is extended. It would be too much energy to stand up and start running properly in the middle of all this. It is an extension of their follow through.
@gr8t1bobo2 жыл бұрын
@@peterbedford449 Oh that makes sense then. I just noticed they only do it sometimes. I just know it looks extremely weird at least to me anyway. I personally would just bend down and roll it and then stand straight up and not move. Similar to real bowling in the USA, once you let go of it then you can't move any further.
@peterbedford4492 жыл бұрын
@@gr8t1bobo They just want to follow the shot to see where it is going. Because it is hard to see from the bowls other side of the green/ they are just excited to see where it is going. But I understand why it would look a bit funny.
@BassGoBomb2 жыл бұрын
@@gr8t1bobo 'Real bowling in the USA' ... LOL .. This traditional form of bowls was played in the USA from the very start of the west's settlement of the Americas. Bowling Green is a town, referred in a Louis Armstrong song, in the middle of America and there are others with similar names. Interesting they named towns after the game in the USA whereas there are no towns of that name in Britian where, the game was formulated. Further, ten-pin bowling and it's cousins didn't come in for hundreds of years later.
