The genetics claim using Haplogroups also makes no sense to me. For starters, Sardinians are one of the most isolated European groups on the planet, with their population practically serving as a modern proxy for the ancient Anatolian Neolithic Farmers for instance, and being devoid of almost any IE ancestry all together so considering that these Haplogroups are so prominent, why isn't their autosomal DNA any more different? Sure, Haplogroups don't equal Autosomal DNA ancestry, but there is most certainly a correlation. Did the Vandals really affect the Sardinian population that much through paternal ancestry but not through autosomal DNA? The only way in which I can see that happening, is if these Haplogroups don't in fact just come from somewhere else and aren't actually Slavic at all, or that the Vandals barely intermarried with the population at all, but somehow managed to spread their Haplogroups over a large area. The article citing R1a on its ownas an example is also rather idiotic too, as R1a has numerous different subclades that can be found in different populations, so how do we not know that this frequency of R1a is simply coming from pre-Slavic population with the Haplogroup (assuming by your claim that the Vandals were Slavs) and not Slavs? In the end, with the linguistics and other things, I just can't see how the Vandals could be Slavic. This is almost close to reaching BHI levels of absurdity, and the last person I debated this own decided not to continue and just kept citing me stupid place names in Iberia that were supposedly similar to Polish ones when I gave out actual vidence, with their excuse for not making a better argument being that "I have no time for a lengthy answer". Unlike what the comments are saying here, no, you should not ask to wiki editors to change it, because there are simply too many holes I can see in your arguments which I am sure they would be able to see too. Some guy being called "Stilicho" isn't really proof of much either, since not only did I mention that we still have examples of Vandalic and it's reconstructions, we have to remember that the East Germanic branch is a lot more different and slightly more archaic in comparison to modern Germanic languages, so a lot of words may look strange or unfamiliar to modern Germanic speakers. I'm not saying that your study of this is complete rubbish, but this just isn't a good conclusion to come too with the amount of holes that could be filled in in terms of linguistic evidence, genetics, and a lot more. I highly doubt that they were Slavs.

Also, the way medieval or ancient authors categorised ancient groups is far different to how we do it today. The Goths and Vandals weren't considered to be Germanic by the Romans, but neither were the Scandinavians. Once they picked the geographical location of what would come to be considered Germania, they didn't intend to spread it further just because of linguistic connections. Latin is also a Centum IE language, and is arguably a tadbit ore similar n some respects to Germanic and Celtic languages than it is to Slavic and Indo-Iranian ones, so it isn't "Eastern". There also may be a Germanic example of a word relating to "our own", and just because it isn't listed, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Take the name of Sweden for an example. It's name is said to have come from the PIE root *s(w)e, also meaning "One's own". The fact that Portuguese sounds like Russian could also just be a coincidence. It is said to have a lot of consonant clusters in a similar fashion to Russian and some Slavic languages, but we can't really prove that it was Vandalic that caused it since I have also said in a previous a previous comment that we already have full blown reconstructions and samples more similar to Germanic languages than Slavic ones. The Vandals didn't even stay in Iberia for that long, and didn't really cover the largest area that I've ever seen, so it is even more unlikely.

That's not quite right. The wiki does actually explain that the Przeworsk culture cannot simply be linked to one singular ethnicity, so in the end, it could be linked to both Slavs and Germanic people living in a similar area. We also have reconstructions of the Vandalic language and word samples from it, all of which are far more similar to Gothic and Proto Germanic than they are to Slavic languages. You could actually check out the wiki and see for yourself, or else I could just use some word examples for comparison. You also commented about the Vandals being Slavs ruled by Viking overlords when the Viking Age wouldn't start until nearly or around 200 years later.

Brother im not going to lie i only believe your theory. It makes perfect sense. Instead to try to figure out why there seems to be no purpose you solved the delimma in a way that makes sense they just started fortifying themselves they must have been at war and that kind of explains why they were found by humans later or new civilization deserted.
