@TommysVinylnaut I listened to to that other Hellhammer clone band, the thing about this one is the drum separation is really rocking to listen to in the car. Also sharp tempo shifts mid song in a smooth way. Especially on this first LP

I can’t get over XTC’s vocals. I met the singer dude Calvin Johnson from beat happening twice. The first time he was kinda a jerk but the second time he was really nice. I love his vocals

Been feeling like it’s a good time in history to finish reading Transmetropolitan (only got to volume 5). Last few years I’ve been into more memoirs and historical comics. . The VC's very own Eight Vinyl Low (Emma) recently posted a picture of herself with Dean Wareham. She got to meet him after a show, or something like that. Last time I went to see a movie in a theatre the crowd wasn't much bigger than the crowd at the theatre you're in. Unfortunately, with all those empty seats, the other person who paid to see the movie that day chose to sit right behind me while they chatted on their phone. lol Thanks for the review!

for a beginner start with CD's Many can be bought used for a few dollars. . and yes, comps are a GREAT way to start. Then go to my article on the top 15 punk albums. If I were to add a more I would add Black Flag Damaged, Germs GI, Circle Jerks Group Sex, X-Ray Spex Germ Free Adolescents, and maybe The Stranglers Rattus Norvegicus. and Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables Simply google THE TOP 15 PUNK ALBUMS. BTW Rolling Stones top 40 punk albums is a joke. Read it and get a good laugh.

I would suggest to the kid that streaming is the way to go, since they're probably already paying for a streaming service. I think just about everything is available on most streaming services. Use the $100 to go to all-ages shows.
