Are you using an orchestra for this ? Like a bunch of instruments played by a crew ?

No, it's all ''in the box'' meaning virtual instruments. However, I do very much have ambitions to work with live orchestra/choir.

@@DreymaComposer I wonder why jeremy Soule's music is very much alike throuhgout the games he scored. I mean he is not alone, there are vocalists, violinists, etc etc, does he take the same crew ?

@@LawtonFloyd He favors the sample libraries (for example the sopranos or violinists) that sound good to him, so he keeps using them throughout his various works. That's why in terms of timbre, Skyrim and GW2 sound very similar, becouse he's using (in large part) the same sounds in both games. Hope you understand that :D

For me, this made me feel and travel back to Lord of the Rings, on an entirely new journey! That's a comment on some subtle moments of melody but also the highest quality of this composition throughout that is without imitation. This is something entirely new and original to my ear.

That is an acute observation! :D Shore is at least of a big inspiration for me as Soule is, when I wrote this composition I also felt it sounded very close to Shore's music for middle earth. I'm glad you like it! Music like this is also great fun to write and compose.

Oh, and I just finished new (and final) version of this piece, where I replaced the solo violin with a boy's choir and soloist. I just felt the violin was a little too personal/in your face sounding.

You really did a good job making the music sound similar to the ost. Most of the music mods while good, just don't feel right. This one, to a new player probably wouldn't be able to tell it's even a mod 😅. That's what a good mod should be imo.
