Yeah, the song is called Doin’ Time by Sublime, a Cali group from the 90s. I agree it was one of their best ones, but it needed more instrumentation to do it justice. I have always wanted an HBCU band to do a song like this, but I thought Alcorn would use more instrumentation to fulfill the lull or dead space in the band.

What I don't understand is why would Bama State build a new stadium and now even take in mind how their own band will be setup. The ASU fans were quiet during the game, but they were overhyping Bama State band in the 5th. Bama State probably won 2 or 3 rounds, and one of those was probably more of a tie

Let me tell you, bands can pull off gospel songs. We have seen JSU, SU, and other bands pupl it off but your kids have to buy in, and the arrangement has to be fire. Mary Mary has songs you can do that will still rock. Them kids did not want to play "In The Sanctuary" and it sounded like it.
