A two-handed pianist. What a concept! Michel should be a guidepost for those pianists who simply 'chord' with their left hand & play 'melody' with their right hand. He's truly one of the most accomplished artists this world has ever had the delight of witnessing. Truly a giant.

This is not a criticism in the slightest, the drummers right hand is solid... I am merely offering him to look at what I have been looking at lately. Accent the 2 and 4 on the ride and keep the 1 and 3 quiet then keep the triplet "a" even quiteter and see what he thinks. It has done wonders for my swing!!! Share the love from one drummer to another and all that :)

There never seems to be any delay by Jim in solo idea to solo idea-just one right after the other. Dare I mention Stevie Ray Vaughan? who had the same ability?

OMG! It’s been over 20 plus years since I met & Sarah here In Atlanta. They toured the US in the 90’s and a friend Marc Dash was road manager for them. We went to the venue to do sound check me and Sarah sang some American song together. It was an amazing day, cause I didn’t know that I knew their music..

Michel Camilo! What an amazing person! I remember Michel Camilo’s first album: Why Not? You can hear me playing Amazing Grace after Franz Liszt (KZbin), and I owe much to Michel Camilo and Russian pianist Vladimir Horowitz: my two main idols in my formative years.

I think Rob Harris is a genius - I am living the dream - retired and playing in a little cover band - when I can copy even a small fraction of what he does it keeps me happy for hours. Rob - bring out a funk course for intermediates - it will sell by the bucketload!!
@julianpratt96162 жыл бұрын
Agree - Rob Harris and Paul Turner together is about as good as it gets. Go look at Shuffler, Groovesonix TV and Trioniq. You are gonna love it....
