you got to keep your wrists loose to play drums,he might as well be using turkey legs for sticks,like springsteen's drummer max weinberg before he got with joe morello,yeah your all gonna say it fits the music,bullshit,ringo,charlie watts,steve gorman's style ,or feels fits the music,patrick drums like a caveman,its boring and uncreative.

Is it just me or were they more in the pocket live back when they were just a duo. I love their records but both this band and the new live band they have for the new record just sound like their rushing all the time. Just my two cents. Still love them.

Their energy and emotion changed so much (for the better) once they started playing with just the two of them. Dan seemed to be just going through the motions before that.

This. I was fortunate to see them live several times between Thickfreakness and Magic Potion era when it was just the two of them, somehow there's just more energy and less muddled sound with two just two dudes stomping out that blusey grit.
