9:34 - Is this the amateur chaser that has been sucked out of his truck? I think he was driving Ford F-150 and he's going the same direction as the TIV 2.

I can't believe this is the same storm that killed the Twistex team. I never knew who they were until ironically, I learned about this tornado. Very horrifying.

Good to stay safe but except for a few shots it’s impossible to tell that it is anything other than a regular super cell. If I were to watch this without any knowledge whatsoever, I’d probably stop it but that would be foolish. People need to see things like this because not all tornadoes look like pictures and this one was so big it look more like a chunk of the horizon had clouds dragging along it. What a horrific storm and so deceptive that you can see videos of chasers running all over the place at times trying to escape. Of course we all know that some chasers didn’t make it. These days I’d be cautious but back then I’d probably have run dead into it. Thanks for the footage because this is necessary for people to understand, that not all storms act the same and it’s best just to play it safe no matter what.

I started watching all these films of the big tornadoes such as 1999 Moore, 2011Joplin, 2013 Moore, and the 2013 El Reno. I think some of them traveled at 25mph or as high as 35 to 39mph. They weren't racing along at 55 or 60mph or faster. Just taking their time, plodding and destroying. Devouring. I have a name I've personally coined for these behemoths. "Harvesters"

I strongly disagree with Mike Morgan saying drive. And considering that we lost chasers in this storm, , bad , bad advice.

Honestly, this video of the El Reno tornado is one of the few that I have seen where the chaser isn’t running for their life or stuck in the tornado. This chaser didn’t fall for the trap that this tornado laid out for all of those chasers.

I think the biggest blunder of tornado sirens is that they are like the boy who cried wolf. They are over used to the point most people ignore them. They should not be deployed unless a confirmed tornado is on the ground. You listen to the Joplin and Moore stories and the survivors said the sirens had gone off a few times that day, so the last time they ignored it. As far as I understand they tend to set them off as soon as a rotating storm is detected. I'm sure mistaken identity is also a reason, amature spotters see a lower cloud base and call in a tornado. I also think officials don't want to be blamed for not sounding a siren so it's over used.

Do u live in a tornado area? I don’t even live in the alley but here in IN I’m thankful they go off to warn us when potential tornados are possible. It could form right over the house and u wouldn’t know till ur gone if u waited till an official report was made and then the sirens went off. The siren is to warn its tornadic weather and seek shelter before u are a casualty. I don’t see it as often as say Oklahoma but anyone with sense would closely follow weather and sirens if they were smart they don’t sound them for nothing. They just live in an area that sees a lot of tornadoes

In 1920, Pawhuska, was a boomtown, but Tulsa had the political advantage. Not enough room for both of us. Those buildings from the side, show reinforced concrete, post and beam construction, state of the art at that time. The boom hadn't gone bust yet.

Some sections of land and scenery looks like it was just scoured or sandblasted away in total devastation. Other sections of homes and other property fared better, depending on whether that home or lot got hit directly by the funnel or were fortunate enough to be just off from being directly in the path of the.huge.tornado. I.am reminded to pray for those who lost lives and the families and friends of the ones who were taken from their families by the tornado

I have been fascinated with tornadoes ever since I can remember. I would have dreams about them when I was a small child, but I had never experienced one and footage of them was pretty scarce in the 80's, so I'm not sure where my mind was drawing the inspiration for these dreams. Bc of the dreams I started consuming anything and everything I could find about tornadoes. Most people are deathly afraid of these storms, but I'm exactly the opposite. I get super hyped if there's even a tornado watch for my area and bc I live in Xenia, Ohio there is always a good chance there will be tornadic activity nearby. I didn't ask for this fascination, as I'm sure many other storm enthusiasts didn't and people shouldn't have to justify or apologize for their love of these crazy weather phenomenon.
