I have 1,000's of hours of professionally painting experience. Painting everything from surface equipment, cars , trailers just about anything an everything. I see nothing wrong with this . Nothing wrong with putting in some work and saving some money.

I keep a cb to listen to trucks for traffic updates. It also has weather alert, which is nice. For rig-to-rig our group uses FRS/GMRS radios. The squelch codes prevent outside groups from jumping into our conversation easily.

I would suggest getting some sort of grommet that is radiused or sanding the hole your hose goes through as well as put something around it to protect it from road vibrations or pressure that may cause it to wear where it makes contact to that OSB base. I love my Sleepnumber at home and was looking to do the same for my RV when I buy one.

Sorry man... as we say in production, "Too much you, not enough monkey." Had to wait 1 and 1/4 minutes of looking at you and a useless Star Wars clip before the actual instructions, and then NO install on the vent... but recommended us to go to yet another video for that.... finally to sit though more than another minute for you to end the video. Also, those who beg for subscriptions before we even see the presentation, gets instant DISLIKE from me.

Looks like you put the pump in the storage area. We are in a Motorhome with the Motor under the bed & only a small amount of storage. Would being close to the motor be a concern. We are really wanting a sleep# bed.
@modsquad8u11 ай бұрын
If by motor you mean your actual automotive engine for the motorhome, don't do that. You don't want the pump outside, it is not designed for the elements. You could likely get longer hose and find a home for it nearby, but I would not suggest putting it in the engine bay at all. He installed his in the pass through storage many travel trailers have and that is protected from the elements in most cases fairly well. His video would have been better had it also shown the pump box mount. If you have overhead storage, you may even be able to put it up high and just deal with the clear hoses being visible or get some trim to put over them. They make some adhesive cable trim you can get online and at various home improvement stores, but be sure to measure. I've used the trim, but I use it in IT to hide network and TV cables, but I think the tubing may fit.

I use a cb in my rv to talk with truckers when theres a traffic issue. Several times I've been informed of an approaching traffic issue like an accident. Truck on fire on the side of interstate 40 west bound traffic blocked up for 3 miles. Trucker suggested take a certain exit and drive a frontage road that allows you to totally miss 3 miles of bumper to bumper 5 mph traffic. Yes a cb is a time saver and could be a life saver too.

Nice job showing how to breath new life into your oxidated and dirty AC shroud. I'm searching today for how to repair a few HOLES bashed in one. But when I figure out how to repair the holes or maybe end up with a new one I intend to add some extra protection to it so this prep with sanding and mineral spirits and spray paint and clear coat is a good way to finish it up. I also intend to add about 5 commercial snaps the kind with screws that many commercial boat covers utilize all around the AC shroud and match it up with a fabric heavy insulated cover to keep on it year round when not in use. I live in NW MT and our neck of the woods can get very hot even triple digits for up to a week now and again but overall an AC in the coach is not needed too often. So keeping it protected and covered seems the best option. I recovered the interior cushions with a light dove grey marine coated canvas and plan to use that for the covers. Plan to make magnetic covers for the RV coach side wall windows and also for a MaxAir 10 speed fan I installed in place of the regular screen vent. This is a 22 year old RV class B+ that needs a lot of updating and repairs. So one of the things left is the AC. It appears to work fine. It's original and new costs around 180 to well over 200 for OEM or generics. So worth playing around as to what I could do to repair the original cover in that it's just not going to used that much. If I replace it then I'll want to protect it for the day it might be with a new owner. So far I've looked close at fiberglass cloth and resins. But hope to find something easier to work with even if it takes more time.
